Question about classes (EQ 2)

I haven't had much time to really *research* the game as much I probably should have, but real life matters can be time consuming.

Anyway, I'm a little confused on the Race / Class combinations available to us.

So, from what I understand, as far as Scouts are concerned, we have:

Evil Races

Scout --> Rogue --> Brigand

Scout --> Bard --> Troubador

Scout --> Predator --> Assassin

Good Races

Scout --> Rogue --> Swashbuckler

Scout --> Bard --> Dirge

Scout --> Predator --> Ranger

Basically, the Ranger and the Assassin (for example) are good and evil counterparts, and the same for the rest.

In order to be a Half Elf Assassin, one would have to change their faction from Quenos (sp) to Freeport, but before they make thier professional choice.

That about right?

Half Elves can go to either city, both the bard classes are available to either city. Not all classes are good/evil choices. So you could make a half elf on freeport and not have to worry about the betrayal quest.

Ok here's another question...

Say you do the betray quest and earn the rank of Birgand... then you redo your faction for Quenos... is that possible?

AFAIK you can only do the betrayal quest once.

ok that's just gay... I was just making fun of Ralph for wanting to be a "swashbuckler".... this sucks... what is up with Sony and Rogues? Why all the homosexual names?

You can't do the betrayal quest once you hit 20 (in otherwords after you pick your final class)

Because then you could have necromancers in Qeynos.

Oh, and both types of bards are in both cities.

And actually, you have to start betrayal before lvl 18! If you ding 18 you cannot betray.

I did it with my troll bard. Decent quest except for the one NPC that likes to fall under the world.
