I'm not saying it isn't illegal. It just isn't stealing.

Think of it this way. It's like if after all the engineers and machinists etc it takes to make a car if you just looked at the specs and built your own. Is that stealing? No.

These RIAA guys have labeled all this stuff falsely to make it seem much worse than it is.

I have no problem downloading movies, games or whatever, because if it's a good game or a good movie I buy it. I am a firm believer that piracy hasn't effecting the movie, music or game industry one bit.

Hey, the first white stripes CD I ever listened too was a mix that was burned and given to me by a friend. I liked it so much, I bought all their CD's and their concert DVD and I went to see the Raconteurs in concert.

None of that would have happened had it not been for that copied CD. Not only that, I probably would never had been a white stripes fan, which would have been really unfortunate for me.

Divineo, who makes the M3 Simply is a Canadian company. It took 15 days to get to me via the slowest way (registered mail) and I am in Connecticut. They say it ships from "eastern Canada" so you might get it pretty fast.

It's gonna change your life dude.

That’s like 250 megs worth of games on my 1 gig card. I filled it up at first and tried a bunch of games, then whittled it down to those nine so I can concentrate on beating all of them.

There aren't actually 800 titles, there are about 300 and some of them include the english, european and japanese titles in one file.

It's an 8 gig file. This will get you started. There are more out there now, like 800-1200 but I haven't downloaded that one yet. I'm still working on the 1-799 and don't want to overwhelm myself.

you were saying you could watch movies on the ds now? what format do you need to encode them in?

Honestly, I have no idea, I haven't even attempted loading that kind of software. I know there is a media player out there that will do movies and music but I haven't checked it out. There are tons of homebrew applications like that.

I'm not really that great with computers, I was surprised at myself for getting the games to work in under 15 minutes of taking it out of the package. It's literally drag and drop the files onto the Micro SD card.

Oh and, the M3 simply comes with a USB transflash reader/writer, so don't buy one with the Micro Sd card like I did.

Ginz, you should really get a PSP and the homebrew stuff on it as well. Every PS1 game is playable on it, I've been playing Castlevania SOTN and Xenogears again. Also movies just need to be changed to MP4 and swap the files and you're done. Watched Rocky the past few days while on lunch break at work.

Yeah, I had a PSP that I swapped with EBgames for my DS. I wasn't really fond of the PSP games and I never watched movies or listened to music on it so I figured it would be a good trade. I am happy with my decision but I made it before getting into this whole pirating/homebrew thing so the PSP probably would have earned it's keep at some point in time. Now it's a matter of buying another one and making the time to play with it, which to be honest, I will probably never do. I have barely enough time as it is for movies, DS, WoW, comics, regular books, friends, family, girlfriend, working on house, work, sleep etc.

I finally understand the phrase "how will you spend your time". When I was young I never realized at some point time becomes a currency.

Sorry for getting philosophical.

Perhaps if I knew what I know now, I would have just kept my PSP and bought a DS before buying my house.
