And if they didn't, you'd just pass them off as bullshit.

I want to know what religion prays to Jesus... I've never heard of such a thing. Praying THROUGH Jesus yes, but not TO.
I'm talking about Mindia's comment here.

But I wonder what was going through is mind in his final hour. Was he ready to meet his God that he had sworn existed for his entire lifetime? Was there some fear in his heart that his life may have been a waste? Those are the questions I want answered. I am a Christian. But I wonder about things.
Hey, what's a Pope without Bling? They need to complete the ensemble of ornate theatrics.

Bowing down and kissing the golden rings of anyone is equal to worshipping a false idol. Want to debate it Mindia? Send me a PM and save the religious drama that will ensue.

You don't pray TO Jesus, you pray to God THROUGH Jesus.... that's why prayers end with "In Jesus' name... amen."
Praying to the Father, is praying to Jesus. Here's an example:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for ....
Please...
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

No, we understand catholicism all too well. The RCC tries to pass off "confession" as "whispering into God's ear." Well, sitting in a booth confessing your sins and asking for absolution from a Priest acting like an intermediary is BLASPHEMY. What is so hard to understand about that?
You confess your sins and ask for forgiveness to the Father, ONLY. It really is that simple.

Well, if you'd open your mind, eyes, and ears you might have known that.
EVERY non-denominational church prays directly TO Jesus. The SDA church prays directly TO Jesus.
What are you smoking?

Maybe you shouldn't sleep through your services then. Pay attention.

Taken from
http://www.pcusa.orgWho are we?
"In gratitude to God, empowered by the Spirit, we strive to serve Christ in our daily tasks and to live holy and joyful lives, even as we watch for God’s new heaven and new earth praying, ‘Come Lord Jesus.’" —From a Brief Statement of Faith
Anyway, I'm glad to see you belong to a Protestant church. I have a lot of respect for John Calvin too.

When you have problems, you may ask your friends to pray for you. But why restrict yourself to present-day friends? Why not also ask radiant Christians from previous centuries to offer up their intercessions on your behalf? This is perhaps the most positive way to think of praying to the saints. Yet there is a problem here. Asking Saint Joan to pray for you becomes praying to Saint Joan. But praying is an act of worship and devotion, and this can be offered only to God.
Ohhhh... almost forgot....

How can one be dissappointed when dead if there is no afterlife *looks up at the sky*

Except true spirituality isn't done for rewards in the afterlife. Unless you are someone like Mindia who does not get it, and solely plays religion 'to win'.

We have argued these exact same points any number of times in the past, and the immutable facts remain the same:
- Mindia will never open up his mind to the fact that he could be wrong
- No one will ever accept that there is a possibility that Mindia is right.
It's a waste of time any more... and I refuse to participate in this argument AGAIN.
