I didn't do it to start fresh - I did it because people from WoW don't know me as Ugzug(z). I was going to start a private forum here for people from my PVP guild. We did something else instead.

So, Vonk/whoever, you can change my name back to Ugzugz and delete my closed forum.

Well that and the fact that I posted and asked that my name be changed to ouchyfish. My son is crazy about ocean creatures and says the word "ouchyfish" about every 10 minutes when referring to the angler fish in the Finding Nemo movie. I created Nameless Rex as a joke and it ran its course. I no longer play on the Nameless. (or Everquest for that matter) I'm 32 and now the proud parent of two children. I still have fun posting/reading here from time to time but my attitude has changed as far as when and why I post.

WTF does it matter who is who anyways? Are you afraid of people on here? Not sure who's ass to kiss? Want to be sure to have the proper knee-jerk reaction to the right people?

It's got nothing to do with being afraid of people, or wanting to kiss specific ass

it's just fucking gay when people change their name every couple of months, and you have to learn which new names to ignore the posts of, instead of just knowing that person posts nothing but rubbish

i didn't know you very well as nameless rex. i just remember a grinch avatar, am i right? at any rate, when you "reappeared" or whatever as someone new, i was just curious as to whether i would recognize your former name, and i do.. *shrug* curiousity is now satisfied, thank you.

I've been reading this board for years and this is the first time I changed my name. If that bothers you...I'm sorry. With the new baby and all, I just wanted to do something silly in the name of parenthood. =)

It has something to do with over 50% of the population now moving on to other games where their character names have changed - or leaving gaming all together and not wanting to be associated with a character they no longer even play.

I think it makes sense. It's the natural progression of things.
