I need help with a simple Javascript...

I saw this JS slideshow here: http://slayeroffice.com/code/slide_show/

I really like it and would like to use it on my products page of a website that is currently under construction...And honestly I can't really make heads or tales of the source code because I have no Java background.

Changing the source code to point to my hosted pictures is a piece of cake... but there are some changes I need to do...

I need the thumbnails to be 100x100 pixels large each and when the thumbnail is clicked on I need the expanded picture to be 400x400 pixels large.

I also need the top left thumbnail to already be showing when the web page is first loaded into a browser.

The final change would be to make the grey background square 400x400 pixels in size to match the new size of my pictures.

Can anyone mod the script for me to make it do that and then break down the code a little for me? I would really like to start learning some of this stuff.

Lastly, is Java compatible with all modern browsers by default?

Javascript and Java are different.

Should have something for you tomorrow, for the most part its easy, though I want to kill the auther, he was great and created constant varaibles for image size and such but then went and hard coded sizes into every line rather then use his damn varaibles. Still working on having the fist picture show on initial load but that should just be a matter of time.

Just a warning, its not the fastest loading page with those image sizes. Its currently located at http://mgmcomp.com/test.html

Hey bro any luck finishing this yet? Also would you mind telling me a little about how it works and maybe some resources where I can learn some java basics?

You can just mod the test.html file. Also if you want to change the name of the files from test.* you can just make sure you make the changes in the .html file to relect the change. If you want to merge it into another website just make sure everything from <link through </script> is moved together. Also Everything from the first <div> to the last </div> needs to be kept together.

If your using another .css file on your site, you may want to combine the .css file I have provided with the one you already have and change the .css call to the .css file you already have.
