Cards stagnating

Post by Ouchyfish »

Weak trade. (King to CO)

However..if they sign Clemens by some miracle, I would have to stop hating the guy with a passion for the first time since he left the Red Sox. (Maybe a little before-he made some smart ass comment about "Greenwell's gonna hit a home run off of Todd Worwell (Worrell)" before an All Star Game in the late eighties that pissed me off. (lol)

Imagine if Clemens could repeat his ERA with the Cards offense...holy sheeeyut

Word around the Barnyard on Clemens is this......

By not offer arbitration he cannot resign with the Astros till May 1.

By doing this the Clemens goes into "semi" retirement, then on May 1 he resigns with the Astros, saving the Astros money. By doing this Clemens then rejoins the rotation with 5 months left to go in the season.

If you remember last year Clemens was dominant for 5 months and then had problems with his legs. By doing this Clemens then has the last 5 months to be dominate, and make a strong push into the playoffs.

The Astros are returning vertually the same team that got them to the "Show" last year, and have Lance Berkman 100% healthy also to start the year. Offense production is going to be up for them, and they are still looking at adding alittle more "pop" to an anemic offense.
Why fight it, i am a Man Whore!
