I had heard it was possible to run a server on your machine and basically be king of your own little version of everquest (as a GM etc) but every time I ever did some research on it it looked like the instruction manual to the god damn space shuttle. Aside from being illegal blah blah is it really as hard as it seems? Contrary to what you would think, it seems like a remotely fun idea to me.

I have one, though because of my RL situation it's not accessible atm.
