Seahawks and Steelers

Maybe. I was impressed with Seattles game against Carolina, and especially their D. I assumed Seattle were Paper Tigers, but I guess we'll really find out in two weeks. Carolina, even with their 4th string RB, still is a respectable team. They have good O and D lines, but were never in this game.
If Pitt can hit Baldy often in the pocket, I think they'll win this game.

I dunno I think the hawks are hungry. I think this is going to be a huge upset and the smarmy steelers are going to get their shit wrecked.

I'm a bit amused by the characterization of the Seahawks as "soft", Tikker. You do realize that the team's biggest strength is its line play, right? Alexander may not be any better than James, but he's running behind a vastly better offensive line, quite probably the league's best (with Kansas City also in the discussion).
If the Seahawks' receivers don't concern Pittsburgh, Cowher's staff hasn't watched enough game film. Jackson is back, healthy, and one of the league's top receiving threats again. Jurevicius has been a solid second option, and Engram has been one of the league's best (and most underrated) possession receivers for years now.
I'm not necessarily advocating a Seattle victory, epecially since the Steelers will essentially be playing a home game, but let's Bayless them just yet, eh?

I think the Seahawks are going to win this one. I think Seattle has the O-line to win the game in the trenches enough to make Alexander an effective threat, which opens up play action and space for Hasselbeck. Honestly, I don't think Pittsburgh is going to be able to run the ball that well. They haven't had a single RB hit even the 60 yard mark this entire postseason.
Should be a good game, I am guessing 21-17 Seahawks.

You've been wrong about pretty much everything so far this playoffs, and i've been 100% right
I predict that trend to continue
If Lebeau has as good a blitz scheme as he did for Denver and Indy, two of the best lines in football, I think more of the game will come down to Baldy making quick good reads, that Plummer and Manning couldnt.
I don't see Alexander running the ball on Pitts LBs.

are you trying to say that seattle has better (or even as good) a receiving package as Indy?
From where I sit, I don't think Seattle's #1 receiver would replace stokely, let alone Wayne, or Harrison
Dallas Clark is better than Stevenson, and Edge is a MUCH better receiver than Alexander
Seattle has played 1 game against a 3-4 defense, and couldn't do fuck all against them

That's an easy claim to make. Care to back it up by pointing what I've been wrong about?

Obviously there's been a fundamental communication disconnect, 'cause I'm pretty sure you and I don't mean the same thing by "100% right". I do however, look for the prognostication trend to continue!

No.

What's the weather like on the planet where you're sitting?

Who's Stevenson? Alexander isn't required to be a receiver in Seattle's offense. Seattle has a significantly better offensive line than Indy, particularly with Diem playing hurt. Pittsburgh will not be able to pressue Hasslebeck as effectively as they pressured Manning.
I think he meant Jeremy Stevens who is a pretty solid Tight end. As far as recieving core, the Seahawks have a very underated group of recievers. Better than Indy? Probably not in terms of pure athletic skill, but their Recievers fit Holmgrens system extremely well. Darryl Jackson is a VERY good reciever, people dont know about him becuase he had a case of the "drops" early in his career, but is a very solid possesion and speedy reciever. Engram has long been a very dependable reciever, and Jeravicious, well his numbers did the talking during the year.
Xao is right, Alexander is not called on to catch the ball much, he doesnt need to in this offense. They rely on both tight ends and recievers alot more than their tailback to catch passes. WHen Alexander does catch passes he can be very dangerous if not defensed.
This is going to be a close game, i think you really do have the best from each conference playing in the superbowl this year. Both teams have peaked at the right time, and both teams have very solid QBs leading their teams. The game is going to come down to who turns the ball over the most. I see a 27-24 seattle win personally , but this will deffinatly be one of the better super bowls in history imho.
Everyone is touting the Steelers, Seahawks have flown under the radar all year. I think win or lose the Seahawks may get some recognition for being a good team. Either way the score goes i doubt its going to be more than a 7 point victory one way or the other.

Strong head of steam? And the Seahawks dont? They have not lost a meaningful game since the first part of October, after wich they changed their play calling. They went 13-3 reeling off 11 straight wins before losing a meaningless game, They won their first playoff game in 22 years, in wich they lose their main offensive threat and NFL MVP in the first quarter. Yet they still manage to win the game on their franchise quarterback. A game that many thought they would choke, and many picked Washington to beat them because they would be more "physical" than the Seahawks.
They followed that up with their first Conferance championship and first Super Bowl birth in the 30 year franchise history, by completley destroying the Carolina Panthers team that put up 29 points, and rolled over the Bears in Soldier field, arguably the best defensive team in football.
A team that so called "experts" picked Carolina to steam roll them, and that Steve Smith would put up 200 yards and 2 more touchdowns to his postseason resume. By the second quarter the game got so out of hand, that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were probably playing tic tac toe on the telestrator to kill time.
I would say that is a stronger head of steam if you want to make that argument.

Hehe Spliffs. No man, i would never say that. I know that its about a 50/50 chance of a win. I think if you put Seattle up against Pittsburg 100 times, they split those games. Both teams are great, i think they have already showed that they were a much better team than you gave them credit for, regardless of the outcome of the Superbowl.
If they do win though, dont be surprised if you see an entire page of
that!
