Studies show that anyone who didn't see this coming may have no brains at all. Lets face it, it's good business to continue with EQ, because of the number of people who feel they have so much invested in EQ1 it's not worth moving.

The Task System will get people out in the world more, going through several zones. For old school players, think of the old mail delivery quest, but less involved and more rewarding.

HAHAHAHA, less involved then the mail delivery quests? Running from Kelethin to Felwithe was always a bitch and you're a crazy person if you ever tried delivering mail from Felwithe to Freeport!! That's a suicide mission...

Been pushed back until they fix problems with GoD now. It amazes me that they actually seem to have listened to the players on this one.

I think its more like "Oh shit WoW in Beta is costing us customers, we gotta do something before we start to lose more players when the final game is released"

Every game that came out before never had a chance of dethroning EQ, WoW is the first real threat (in my opinion) to EQ. Sony is just now realizing this.

Just know I read comments on their boards from people saying fix GoD before working on another expansion and a couple days later they announced they were pushing it back.

But most of all... I MUST MAKE MY CAR HOP!

ITs funny tho, i remember when the Helm of Rallos Zek was the best helm in the game, thats also about the time i quit heh

I agree that they are trying now, but I dont think its the people posting on the boards about what is wrong with GoD, or people complaining about stuff that is STILL wrong after 2+ years. I think its the fact that they see WoW as their FIRST competitor and are now trying to fix the shit that we have been bitching about for so long. If WoW was not close to coming out, I doubt that they would be doing this. The wake up call they got was some guilds quitting EQ en masse, and moving to WoW, and the drop in Player Subscription numbers. THAT is the sole purpose for the all expenses paid trip, big meeting to fix stuff etc... I have been burned by SoE to many times to think that they are finally beginning to give a shit about their customers, its the fact that someone is taking their customers away from em, that was the kick in the ass.

U know I don't understand what all this is about.. I mean, u all sit here and complain about EQ and stuff that is wrong w/ it.. Instead of doing that, u can either find a different "game" to play or just go watch TV or play a console. Don't get me wrong, I understand we all pay for EQ and expect to have a "great" game.. but let's face it.. there is no perfect game. And if there's gonna be a "great" game that all of u have in mind, then that game is gonna have to be created by one of u guys. So, that leaves on last comment.. Get of ur arses and make it!
