XBOX 360

Post by Adivina »

Who here has one, what games have you played so far and what package did you pick up? What is your opinion on the system overall?

Aryy and I were going to get one this weekend, but all the stores we went to only have the core bundle, and I told him if I am going to drop a ton of money we might as well do it right and get all the extra stuff we will eventually end up purchasing seperately for more money if we don't get the regular pack with all its extra goodies.

Has anyone had any issues with theirs? Our only concern is EVERY store we go to the display is broken. However, the 360 does need ventilation and they keep them shut up in these little tiny plastic cases, running 24 hours a day with no air flow, so I would guess that could be the cause.

If you arent in a rush wait for the premium bundle. Its a good value. Youll pay quite a bit more if you buy the crap that comes with it separately.

Have had almost no issues with mine.

No problems at all with mine. You are better with the higher bundle that includes the hard drive. It's a must have for game saves and xbox live.

No mechanical issues or overheating or anything like that.

Its crashed on me a few times, only twice I believe before Oblivion. Once in Quake IV once in Condemned I think. Oblivion likes to crash, but its rare enough it doesnt bother me.

Maybe crashed 4 times in all the time Ive played it.

Wait for ps3 imo. Give it some time to get reviews and 6 months to drop 150$ less, and you'll be set. I read about a war game for the ps3, they actually had to appear in front of a judge and protest that it wasn't real war footage only digitally animated. I was amazed at the graphics engine they use on it. Hopefully, after the ps3 release, the technology involved in them will drop the prices of outside sources, i.e. Top of the line graphics cards and other computer related parts, will be easier to fathom the prices of items such as the 7800 GT or whatever it is nowadays.

I'll be picking up the ps3 when it comes out, I am looking for something to pass the time now though.

Hey so how is Condemned? Looks like a neat game.

Condemned is freaking awesome.

Probably my 3rd favorite game on the 360, behind COD2 and Oblivion.
