where is the best place to sit on a plane, I'm flying up the east coast so I thought land on the left flying out and ocean coming home but mostly I just want to sit in a place that if we crashed or broke apart in the air I'd be more likely to not die.

Oceanic Flight 815 is great for a bird's eye view of the ocean. On that flight is doesn't matter where you sit. You won't die in the crash. Almost a guarantee.

Personally, when I've flown over ocean, i thought it was boring as fuck. I would try for the side to see the coastline

Anywhere behind the wings is the safest place on a plane. Try to sit in one of the last 10 rows.

Here's the deal. The chances of surviving a plane crash are slim to none (unless it is during takeoff or landing) even if you are sitting in the safest place on the plane (which doesn't exist). Pick an isle seat so you have easier access to the shitter.

According to airsafe.com, there is no "safest" seat on the plane.

Don't you watch mythbusters? It's not the crash that kills you but the fact that crashing breaks your legs and you can't get off the plane before you die from something else. ;)

If this is the case then get the seats in the last row. In most plane crashes, the planes nosedived. If you were sitting in the last row, you will be cushion by all the people sitting in front of you which will reduce your chance of breaking your legs and give you a chance to run out of the airplane.

Actually, you want the first row. The legs break on the bottom of the seats in front of you.

Unless you put your feet on the back of the seat in front of you.

Sure, put your feet up, break your hips. That's much better :)

Sure. Put both feet on the back of the seat in front of you instead crunch down holding your knees.

just stand in the aisle

that way you can time when the plane hits the ground and jump at that exact moment and you'll be fine, np

The safest place to sit on an airplane is on the wings. It's also the place where you experience the least turbulence.

Safest place to sit is in the pilot's seat.
