shitty the last couple days and IT'S REALLY PISSING ME OFF!

It keeps going in and out, in and out....normally I enjoy a little in and out but not with my friggin internet!

I feel better now.....at least until the next out phase....

Mine has too, I called and yelled at comcast twice.

I've been getting ping jumps of up to 4k, which is fucking retarded when you play online games.

I've had problems too, with my connection crapping out for 5-10 seconds, sometimes up to 1 min and then coming back.

I've read in a few places it was most likely due to "throttling", my ISP thinking I use my connection too much, and dialing it back for a few seconds hoping to cut down on my usage

Yea, I've heard ISPs have been doing that lately on some of their higher volume users. The thought of it sends me into a violent rage.

I've called rogers a few times concerning my LDs in eq and then my lag spikes and they always blame it on my router, and because they don't support routers they pretty much tell me to foff

I had cable years ago, originally through a lcoal cable company before it got bought by Comcast. I was seeing some serious latency, and was getting > 20% packet loss all the time, just to the default gateway router at their end (and I wasn't using one at my end). I called their support, and the moron that answered tried to tell me that 20% packet loss to my default gateway was completely normal and an acceptible level of performance.

The next phone call I made after tearing him a new one was one to order DSL service.

My house is too far away to get DSL.

My old apartment used to have AMAZING DSL service. I'm talking scarily fast and stable.

Unfortunately I had to move out when my sister went absofuckinglutely batshit insane.

I can't even play BF2 anymore because of my sucky DSL connection. The house wasn't wired for cable and the owner doesn't want holes drilled anywhere. :-x
