No thanks, I'm through with that game.

However, I wish I was playing EQ as it was three years ago with everyone I was playing with...three years ago.

I have yet to find a game that will match the fun I had during that time.

Agree totally, man. Nothing has that same early EQ appeal.

Hopefully one of the newer games coming out won't be treadmillquest Version 2.0

Everygame that comes out from now on will be that way for me, because in EQ, I didn't really feel a need to get to the highest level immediatly. Mostly out of ignorance because I was always content with the level I was at.

But now, I have been level brainwashed in that every mmorpg game I play now I feel a strong need to get to the highest level possible asap while not really enjoying the game at all.

Maybe its the way the newer mmo's are designed. I'm looking forward to WoW and EQII for the tradeskilling and running around the world amiously like I did EQI.

I really can't wait ><

Actually, it was the Transsexual Enchanter/Shaman Uggmo, as much as Arsh.

Euphoria so fit EQ though for me.. That short lived addicted happiness given by chasing the gerbil pellets of raiddom and phat l00t.

Early on we had just the right balance of cool people, various drug induced Decadent Few people, the requisite asshole raid leaders, and a few TW invaders to make the game fun fun.

Not alot of time for gaming lately just messing with twinks in DAOC. We are looking at WoW and EQ2.

WoW looks ok, but it looks to us like they are balancing the the classes toward pvp lately. Nothing against pvp but after playing daoc we are thinking pvp balancing makes the classes to bland and the loot boring(gotta have the uber lewtz).

So we are leaning toward EQ2 will probably try them both and see which we like the best.

BTW Sald says Hi.

We were also thinking with the 24 man cap on raids, and the instanced dungeons it might be easy to hook up with some old friends and do some raiding.

A small guild with some good friends and players could do pretty well.

Yeah, thats what I'm thinking too. I'm in WOW beta, and while its ok, it's not like early EQ in the fun. If EQ2 is a long ways away, I may look at a small WOW guild.

I'm thinking a small raid team would be ideal. I don't ever want to be in a massive guild again, that recruits to fill numbers, versus having just friends in it.

I was waiting for Warhammer Online, but since it was cancelled EQ2 may be my next game.

DAOC was fun early on, but it was bland and I really didn't like the leanings towards min/max gamer. It's RVR system is its boon and curse, since they've basically gutted the game for ensuring parity. Those early Du Mintai raids were fun, though. :)

We would be up for trying WoW if its out before EQ2. (looks like it probably will be).

Yeah. Du Mintia was great for a while untill the large guild drama started.

We are hoping that one of the two games will allow you to do all the high end content without having to be in a huge guild.

Have you heard from Haz or anyone else lately?

I heard from Haz a few months ago. I have quite a few people's addresses from DAOC/EQ who are interested in WOW.

I'm in WOW beta, when I can log on my account it's fun.

I'm not sure what to do guildwise, whether to look to start a vet EQ/DAOC guild, join one, or just freelance. Honestly, I've been somewhat shying away from guilds since FOW, Sanctuary, Euphoria, and Du Mintai sucked a lot of my life away.

Check out guild wars, also. It's another game I think will be very good. They did an open beta at E3 that was excellent.
