I forget which movie the quote is from, but it goes something like:

The white man goes into his church and talks about God.

Basically, you will be in cartoon land for about a good 7 hours or so. The trip you get from it has a tendency to be much more powerful than that of LSD or shrooms. It is not, however, nearly as psychotic a trip as that of PCP, so I am told.

All hallucinogens can result in a bad trip. It depends on where you are mentally, psychologically, and emotionally, and also depends on how stable a person you are and what your surroundings are like at the time.

Peyote smells and tastes like vomit btw, just fyi. That's why it's usually taken in powdered form in a capsule. The traditional native American way of preparing it is to make a stew out of it that you swallow, promptly puke right back up, and are then in outer space for the rest of the evening.

I hate people that do a lot of hallucinogens. They're all stupid psychotic fucks now. I'd rather be forced to rail my entire name spelled a centimeter thick with cocaine than have to take a hit of LSD.

The amount you'd have to continuously do, to end up a "psychotic fuck" is pretty insane to begin with. In my experiences, if they're doing that much of any drug, they're pretty fucked up anyways.

I've seen more fucked up cokeheads than people permanently retarded off of any hallucinogen as well. Therein lies the problem between people who do drugs occasionally and those who abuse them hardcore though.

I've never tried Mescaline personally either.

I've done shrooms a handful of times, and LSD (acid) once. Both were pleasant experiences, but acid lasts way too fucking long in comparison. I will likely only ever do it again once, at max. Shrooms I will do pretty much whenever I have the time slot open for it, since it is easily the most enjoyable with absolutely no long-term repercussions at all.

The way I see drugs now is this, if it can't kill me, I'll try it at least once. This leaves out Cocaine, Heroin, and most painkillers of the more insane sort (Oxycontin, Morphine etc.) I used to be hardcore against drugs except alcohol, that changed when I got older and a little more intelligent about these things.

I'd like to add I don't have the slightest inclination to any kind of addiction, so I have no problem doing something and not touching it for up to a year or more.

I'm still trying to get my hands on some shrooms for me and some friends. I have the PERFECT environment for it and haven't done it since last year

I trid LSD once and had a great trip. All three times I've tried shrooms it's been terrible. Everyone tells me how much fun they are, which is why I kept trying them. I'll probably try them one more time now that I'm in a much better state of mind.

i have mixed feelings about this too, because it means that a) i'm becoming a "square" and b) i really miss it ;\

plus my drinking has doubled and i'm not entirely happy about that either

I hate feeling shitty. No really, I fucking hate it. I've experimented and I just cannot see the draw to regular use of most drugs out there.

Weed is the only worthwhile drug... combined with a pack of smokes and some good beer or hard "A", and you've got a night to remember. Everything else is just pointless imo. The above combination will get you plenty high, and if you don't smoke or drink to much you will most likely be fine the next day if not a little dumb.

Ralf, you might actually like 2CB then. There's literally no crash afterward. It's a really powerful hallucinogen, a friend of mine who took it on a campout was literally seeing forest dragons coming out of the trees, etc. But it's also an upper, so having a bad trip is nearly impossible, AND as I said, there's no crash afterward. The ramp up is fairly quick, but smooth, then you plateau for a few hours, then the effect lessens a bit for maybe another hour, and then it just ends. That same friend who was seeing forest dragons literally went from seeing stuff to completely back to normal in half an hour.

The biggest downside to 2CB is that it's almost impossible to find; it's incredibly rare. We only get ahold of it when we happen to at random find someoen who lucked into having a stash of it. Oh, and *DON'T* snort it, whatever you do, it is legendary for how bad it hurts. I only did that with a little bit, once, and it felt like someone had hammered a red hot spike up my nose. If you get it as loose powder, buy some blank capsules and injest it.

In any case, the lack of after-effects and comedown with 2CB is completely different than any non-pot drug I've ever tried. Shrooms & Acid both had way more negative effects even during the trip, and left me feeling like crap the next day. Ecstasy didn't have too much in the way of bad effects while on it, but it left me completely wrecked the day after, and still only semi-functional the day after that. 2CB I could take, spend the next 4-5 hours high, then be good again, and couldn't even tell I'd taken it by the next day.

I don't believe anyone who says they have seen things like dragons, pink elephants, or dancing muppets when they are on hallucinogens. The most I have ever seen is vibrant colors and things waving back and forth (i.e. the top of a grill when it's piping hot).

Also, the statements about LCD making you "legally insane" or "psychotic" after a certain amount of times is horseshit. I have taken it dozens of times in my life. I have taken up to 8 at one time. I haven't touched it in probably 10 years but I am fine now.

Ginz, I'm in the same boat you are. The most I tend to get is halos around things, the heat haze like you mentioned, everything looking more pastel, etc. The largest effect I ever got, visually, was stuff would look to be about 3-4 feet away from where it actually was.

I DO know people, my friend for example, who really do see visual effects, like dragons, etc. It seems to be a genetic thing: if you don't see them, you never will. Me, I'd like to see that kind of thing just ONCE, but ah well.

I never cared for LSD, actually. Only had 1 good experience with it, and that was liquid and I took it with Ecstasy at the same time (known as a Candy Flip). That's actually the time where stuff looked displaced from where it actually was. Given that I was at a rave at the time, and had to go up and down stairs, that was a bit disconcerting, but was still fun. heh.
