Magnetix kill....but not by choking.

Post by Martrae »

Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

I agree with you to a point. However, the label says it's a choking hazard not that it'll perforate your intestines.

There was also a 5 year old that nearly died from the same thing.

Warning: Do not let stupid children near this toy.

Just put that next to the choking hazard and you're good to go.

Should it have to say that it'll perforate intenstines so a parent will make sure their kid won't eat it? The problem is people are trying to put the blame on the manufactuter instead of where it should be, the retard parent. I say take all warnings off of everything. Let the dumbasses cleanse themselves.

An example of how bad society has gotten is the one of the warnings on an iron. Do not iron clothes while wearing. WTF!? Isn't that just common sense?

Probably someone sued the manufacturer previously for that, so the lawyers made them put the warning on.

Hey, don't bitch at me. I just put the article out there for those of us that have kids.

Somehow, I'm sure every person on this board put toys in their mouths as children. It's a natural instinct and all children do it. I still catch my 4 year old with a toy in his mouth on occasion.

Point is this toy isn't safe for kids no matter what age.

Whatever. My son never did any of the horrific things I hear stories about. He never drew shit on the walls, never threw tantrums in public (with me, anyway) and he never put shit that he wasn't supposed to in his mouth. It comes down to proper parenting and teaching them at an early age. Any parent that claims otherwise is, like I stated above, a retard. They are looking for an excuse to take the blame for raising a "special" child off of themselves.

I was gonna post something snarky but I've changed my mind.

She probably realized that she was one of the parents I was talking about and thought better of opening her trap.

Your parents sucked at not raising a retard.

Everytime that my son would try to put something into his mouth he would get a firm no, a smack on that butt, and the lecture "YOu don't put anything in your mouth unless it is food" to which my ex husband would say under his breath "Or women, but that comes later" It would drive me INSANE.

My daughter still hasnt gotten the urge to stick everything in her mouth. Her finger and food and a cup spout. That's pretty much it. She stuck a penny in there once but it was on the floor with some oyster crackers but we caught that pretty quick.

And I know that since I have such a good child, this new one will be a terror, sticking everything he can in his mouth, and just being the opposite of my girl.

There is no correlation between a child’s intelligence/an adult's parenting’s skills and a child putting objects in their mouth. It's actually very normal. Children under four years old learn about the world primarily through their sense of taste. So anyone that says "my child is smarter than yours because they don't put objects in their mouth" is naive.

Thank you, Ginz.

There's also a HUGE difference between parenting one child and parenting 2 or 3 (or more, if you're that crazy).

But there is a correlation between a child's common sense and an adult's parenting skills. I never said that if you were a good parent you'd raise an intelligent child. Just one with common sense. If you don't realize that, then your parents failed you.

So you are saying that if a two year old puts something in his/her mouth that is not food the child has no common sense?

And I can assure you, my mother didn't fail me.

No, what I am saying is that if a parent allows a two year old to put something in his/her mouth that doesn't belong there that child will be the paste eater in his class. Maybe if you actually read and properly interpretted what I wrote you would see it is the parent that is to blame, not the child. Are you so sure about your mother not failing you?

Oh so I guess you are able to monitor your child's every movement.

And why are you resorting to personal attacks on my mother Agrajag?
