Pieces of shit.
I bought one ohhh 8 months ago... use it daily, or once every other day when I go to the gym... from between an hour to two hous per visit.
Now the battery wont hold charge for more than 20 minutes. FULLY charged.
And, of course - true to Apple design - you can't remove and replace it.
Fuck Apple and Fuck iPod. My desire to buy an Apple laptop is officially dead.
140 bucks for that piece of shit.

If you have an Apple store near you take it to them. I have heard of people bitching enough they they replaced it with a new one.

That's disappointing to hear, especially since Ipod is all the rage.

90 days, or at least it was last year I can't see them changing it. Rule of thumb on electronics is the warrenty is 90 days. And that's with dealing w/ the manufacturer. That's the reason why Best Buy / Circuit City, are so big on their own warreties witch they pretty much suck ass as well, totally not worth it on most items.

Your warrenty should cover battery replacement. Mine covers any battery changes needed for three years free of any charge.

Also, you can send it back to Apple, and for 50 or so bucks they'll replace the battery for you

Just out of curiosity, do you charge your iPod in your car while you are driving?

They say it's not good to charge iPod's (or cell phones) in the car while driving . It messes up the battery because the power fluctuates when you hit the gas, hit the breaks, turn on the AC etc as opposed to the wall socket that is feeding it a steady current.

I dont know about that. My cell battery never dies. It takes a good week or about 3 days of solid use for me to need to charge it.
The ipod, however, never had a super good battery life. I dont have to charge it every single time I use it, but it doesnt last over a day of solid use.

It all depends on how you charge while in the car. I've got a heavy duty mounted inverter setup with a built in line cleaner so it doesn't have spikes in power supplies. It set me back $200 though, so I'm not certain if that is the most viable option for most people.

I have an aux in plug in my car so I just plug my ipod directly into that. Doesn't charge it though, I have to use a regular wall mount for that. I have a 20GB version that came out right before the video ipods. Works pretty well.
