last-minute halloween costumes

okay so my friend ashley is having a halloween party at her new apartment tomorrow night. i wasn't sure if i was going to go or not but josh and i decided that we are going to go but we don't have any costumes. we also don't have money for said costumes.

that said, does anyone have any ideas for cheap, clever costumes that can be thrown together in one night?

50's theme outfits are easy.

Girl? Really tight jeans, pink sweater, shades, ponytail, piece of gum, some pumps.

Boy? Well, jeans, white t-shirt, black shoes if possible, shades, some greased hair.

I might add that this was the age of saddle shoes.

Also, you could wear your trashiest clothes, get them all nasty, mess up your hair and go as white trash.

Also, you can mix red food dye with corn syrup, throw it all over some outfits you don't mind throwing away, then pour some all over your body, face, whatever. Corn syrup and red food dye makes great blood.

Also, you can wear a really sexy outfit and be a hooker and get him to wear something that makes him look like a pimp.

These are just a few ideas off the top of my head.

well last time I went to a cotume party where there was judging i took a small table I found at a yard sale (2.75 ) a beat up phone (same yard sale 1.00) a small bed side lamp(same sale 1.25)and ashtray I had laying around the house, and one condom unwrapped. I cut a whole large enough to fit my head thru, glued phone to table, the condom to the table, glued the ashtray (along with 2 cig butts glued into the ash tray) and the lamp.

I went as a one nightstand.

A coworker said she's dressing up for a party like an 80's aerobic instructor. Leg warmers, head band, oversized off-the-shoulder sweatshirt, leotard over the tights, 80's makeup. I thought that sounded like a funny costume, and could be cheap to put together with stuff at Good Will.

omg i love the "static cling" one. if i do that one for josh, he will barely have to dress up at all which will be good since he's so reluctant to begin with.

Static Cling
Wear anything a solid color is good all white or all black. With safety
pins pin anything to yourself i:e: socks, underware, bounce sheets, etc. You can also spray your hair straight up in the air.

I saw this on MSN the other day, it was a wall outlet and a plug. obviously Leah would be the outlet and her man the plug. Essentially it looked like (it was cheap but anyway), cut a rectangle out of a box, large enough to go from your neck to your knees, paint, color do whatever you need to in order to make it look like the faceplate / outlet you have in your house.

Take another box, cut it up to make it look like a "plug" use foil for the "metal" contact parts. Use some rope or something for the cord and have one end of the cord comeing out of your mans "crotch" and snake the rope around so he can carry it over his shoulder (hope you all are pictureing this properly in your minds).

Anyway, it is super cheap, easy to make, and may not need to buy anything and semi original (i.e. home made).

Other option is get a big sheet, needs to be all one color, preferably "peach", matching pillow cases, beach balls, use all of that to make a "dick with balls" (attach the beach balls now in pillow cases to your mans "shin" or knew, use the sheet as the shaft, you get the point. Then us another sheet, that you'll cut up and tap, etc to make it look like, well, you know.

Again cheap, quick, but you'd end up wasting some good sheets :p
