Cong me
Finished my first quarter at the local community college and passed all my classes!
1.53 GPA (C-) ftw!
USA! USA! USA!
That being said, I seriously suggest to anyone still in/going to be in college to use ratemyprofessor.com, all three of my classes (15 credits worth) were taught by self righteous retards this quarter.
No excuse for me sucking ass, but I probably would have tried harder if they were good teachers.

dont feel too bad, my first semester at school i had something like a .7. After the first year of I pretty much got the whole being obliterated literally every single night out of my system and did good. I kick myself in the ass for being so fucking stupid then though, took years to get myself out of the GPA hole I dug myself into. Oh well, live and learn.

1.53 sounds like what I graduated high school with, probably less, college is 3.4ish so far. How many classes were you taking? Take a lighter load and make things easier on yourself. In my opinion, it's worth taking an extra year if you need to just so you can put more effort and time into each of the classes. Really, what's the point in going to college if you're just going to half ass it anyways?

my freshman year of college, my GPA ended up somewhere around a 3.0 and i was mortified. it was because i worked too late too often and also discovered that i didn't actually have to attend classes in college hehe . . . after i got my second semester report card with an A, a B, a C, and a D (i have never in my life gotten a C or a D in a class!) i freaked out and decided to kick as much ass as i could for the rest of my college career. almost all As (save a B or two here and there) and i still only managed to bring it up to a 3.6 or something like that. i'm really disappointed with how i performed in college. but whatever, it's done.
if you're planning to bring your GPA up, start as soon as you get back to school because it takes time to recover from a bad semester or two. :\

haha wait i just remembered that i got an F once in grade school . . . we had to do memory work each week (memorize bible verses, sections of the catechism, etc. and write sermon summaries from church services a couple of times a month) and i always forgot to do the sermon summaries. i almost crapped myself when i saw the F hehe . . . got an A every time after that.

My lifetime grade average probably hits 3.8ish. I don't really put forth much effort but book learnin comes pretty easy since I'm the smartest person in the universe and all known alternate dimensions (including the terrible SECTOR-Y and world of the Kai's).
I feel like I've pretty much gained nothing from it and lost a few tiny chunks of my soul though through the process so I guess I lose.
You guys that are in business and such, are crappy general liberal arts diplomas (outside of specific discipline degrees, ie chemistry/medicine/ect) pretty worthless these days as far as figuring out who is a good hire?
