Why was "The Boiz" thread locked?
Just curious why it was locked with no explanation. <insert generic "Are you looking for a new guild?" type of comment here>
I'm guessing it's another fake post. I mean, the guild has 8 to 10 people in it and this guy goes to Baltimore to become an officer? That just doesn't make much sense.
Was it locked because you figured it was fake as well? Or due to it's gay theme?
Kudos to the Mod for treating it real and offering good advice, though.

You know, I gotta chuckle whenever someone mentions things along the lines of "having sex with people to become an officer." We're talking about EQ here, a game. Not some corporation.
#1. Being an officer means diddly squat. Do you really think people think, "Oh wow! Sarthis is an OFFICER in a EQ guild! He must be a VERY important person. And so powerful!"
#2. Being an officer typically is nothing short of having a non-stop headache while playing EQ. Why would anyone sleep around to become one? What would that person gain by doing so?
Unless someone can provide unaltered screenshots as proof, I'll keep right on chuckling whenever this is brought up.

edit: former msg wasnt very nice and "general discussion"-y.
tiriella is motivated by forces unknown it would seem. being an officer and/or leader of a guild in EQ is far cooler than respecting one's body. ....k...

i always avoided becoming a officer when i was asked to become one i always turned down the position that and being a raid leader are the 2 dam biggest headaches this game can give a person all the constant tells and bitching arent worth it.

raid leader tells are fine if you can keep it organized and efficient. i led a few planar pick-up raids (PoG, PoH) with competent people who listened to orders and had a fuckin' blast when nobody had anything else to do.
plus loot and fun were had by all !

I always hope to become an officer so members of the guilds I am in will stop bitching when I tell them what to do and they know I am right. For example, minor raid in BoT towers, rogue was in corner we were reverse pinning the mob in, I told him to get out of the way and told the tank to get in there. My exact words: "Rogue out of corner, Lano get in corner" Later the rogue bitched about being called "rogue" and not his actual name. I'd never met him before so I didn't know who it was in the way nor did I care to take the extra time he was wasting to figure out who he was, and on top of that, when I sent that message immediately they did as I told them and waited until later to bitch about it even though the raid went smoothly afterwards. Every officer agreed with what I did except ole "I am holier than thou" guildleader, I bet you can guess who that was if you try!

the people who monitor this place are such fucking idiots
its a friggin message board for a game
how many people do you think you attract by keeping all the posts into nicely seperated categories and by deleting / locking perfectly good subjects because they don't fit into that standard?
how many people do you think don't bother posting anymore because they're tired of the cencorship and the annoyance of having to try and find the right area just to discuss something?
Look at how un-popular the nameless tavern is now! Theres like 5-10 people primetime, I remember when they're used to be 50-100!
This is a simple case of the board monitors being huge losers with nothing better to do but complicate things until they suck.
Good job.

That or the fact there has been 3 Nameless Taverns in the last 2 years, EQ now sucks and the old schoolers are dying off (in terms of caring about what happens in the game) and new people who play are simply to retarded to play EQ let alone navigate the intraweb and find us.
