Lineage II

Post by Ginzburgh »

Anyone own the retail version?

I know people had their opinions during beta, just wondering if its any better of worse and or worth picking up.

I played beta, and thought it had a lot of potential. The PVP is setup very good, and the sieges rock.

That said, its a brutal grind, and I HATE, HATE, HATE the Anime look and feel. Maybe it's the fact I'm a geezer, but it irks me to the point I wouldnt try what I think is the best PVP game on the market.

THe pvp part is nice, except for the greifers/gankers who do things like camp newbie spawn areas. The PVP is well done, the people in the game (at least beta0 are the worst I have layed with.

Well, I've done a little research and it seems like most of the reviews are bad.

So I'll save my $50.00.

They are voluptuous.

Its a good game so far. I started an elf mystic and I'm level 7. Just bought my first robe and second spell.

I'm Ginzburgh on the Erica server.

Hmm, I may get on. I have a free copy of the game. I got to level 25 in beta.

Levelling gets REALLY slow, and the Anime stuff makes me want to gouge out my eyes.

But the siege and PVP setup really is top notch.

Yeah, yesterday I was killing a mob and I was PK'd. I can see how it can get annoying, but its like Rallos Zek when EQ came out. It was the first server I went to and I really enjoyed the element of having to constantly watch your back for PK's. But then it just got way out of hand so I went to nameless. It doesn't seem too out of hand in Lineage yet. In a 5 hour period yesterday, I got PK'd once and at least a half dozen people helped me by buffing, killing a mob that was about to kill me and healing me after bad fights when they could have just smacked me once to kill me.

And I like the graphics kyo :P

Play on Erica server.

I definitely like the Dark Elf Dominatrix look. The guys when they run are bent over like they just did a long scene on queer as folk.

I may check it out, but not for a week or two. In the middle of a move.

I'm moving from near Cinci to up in Northern Ohio. Bought a house, telecommuting.. long story.

I'll email you Ginz. I definitely need to take a NY trip soon.

If we get rolling with L2, we need to get a guild rolling, or get with a guild in L2. Its a harsh world, and the most fun is from sieges. This is not a single player game by any means.

I won't be able to game until after 4th weekend.
