need ide controller card that supports HDD 400+ gb

Post by Tikker »

ideally I'd like 1 that supports 4x 750gb drives(or bigger!)

i don't want to spend a ton of cash either, so I'll definitely be willing to look at ones that'll do 400ish gb

I'm not concerned with Raid ability, but I'm willing to pay for it if means larger HDD capacity is available~

You don't need to make an array with a raid device.

To be fair, Tikker you did say:

I'm not concerned with Raid ability, but I'm willing to pay for it if means larger HDD capacity is available~

that's fine, but saying to specifically go with a SATA raid is pretty meaningless at this point

and finawin, probably 95% of all ide(or sata) controller cards are raid capable

I was just hoping someone knew specifically of a controller card(ide or sata or combination of the 2) that would handle large density HDD
