Not a big fan of the judge shows either.. I think it's just some horrendous publicity battle as to who can be the wittiest judge and get their court-peen the biggest.

as far as that actual case.. honestly, yeah, it's pretty disgusting what she did.. but I always make sure to read the auction in incredible depth before i bid on anything, because it's clear that there are people like her out there. it's just as much their fault as it is the sellers.

ebay seller posts auction that says phone and has a disclaimer in it that says this is for a photo of the phone

lady misses the fine print and gives the other lady 500 bucks for 2 phones

gets her package in the mail, it's 2 pictures of 2 phones

lady calls seller, husband of seller says lol thanks for the shopping spree lady, you got what you paid for

judge judy tells seller how ridiculous she is and that she's a tax evader and a bad mother and her husband only sent her to court to take the fall because he's a coward

judy awards plantiff with 5 grand and tells defendant she's awful

Fat white trash cow put up an auction for a couple Ipod cell phones and then sent the winners photocopied pics of the phones.

JJ went off on her...told her she was a lying lazy scammer and she may be fatter than JJ but there was no way she was smarter. Also threatened her with child services, said her kids would wind up with no morals just like her parent's etc.

Judgement for the plaintiffs for $5000.

It wasn't really defined, though.

Just said something like See Pictures and the buyer is supposed to tell they are pics of photocopies.

JJ also got her on the weight in the description. Said 4.90 ounces and a sheet of paper doesn't weigh that much.

my assumption from it was that the weight was in the picture of the picture

honestly auctions like this happen all the time - people need to be smarter than that.
