Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Maybe Jesse Jackson should do something about the braves horribly racist team name first.
Yes, because calling anyone brave is horribly racist.

Is this for real? we want equal opportunity sports now?.. jesus christ. if they'd stop being retards and go around to all the colleges and high schools they'd realize that baseball doesn't have a high african american population when people are CHOOSING to be on the team, and if that isn't good enough, just go to the tryouts and recognize the population of those who are actually going out for the sport.
i'd like to see them go into basketball and football and cry about the low population of white players
who cares?

Well, Jesse and Al have become race baiters. They don't actually care about equality, they care about quotas and overt political correctness and cowtowing their race war agenda.
We are at a time where the best players professional teams can acquire make teams, regardless of race. Instead of going to Major League Baseball and crying they aren't enforcing quotas, the race baiter crew should head to urban areas and get kids to play more baseball and less basketball if they want more representation there.
This is as hypocritical as someone without an ounce of Native American Blood or who probably has never ever spoken to a Native American complaining about the name 'Braves'.

HAHA you're such a douche sometimes.
I know that they don't like it. And by them I mean the vast majority of the Native American culture. I don't need to speak to them to know that, which I have.
I'm sure they wanted to talk to them to see if this was intentional or not. They, of course had no business doing that though. Sports are one of the most merit based industries.

Sport team names were originally chosen to represent the spirit of a team...I see nothing wrong with having the spirit of an Indian Brave.

Don't forget to tomahawk chop while you're at the game!
My great-grandmother was Cherokee. I am one of 'them' and I don't think it's offensive.
The chop hasn't been done for years, btw. Way to keep up on current events.

No, you really aren't one of them.
I guess since they don't chop the racism is acceptable.
Would you mind addressing your geographical error, since you are a "teacher"?
