I bought Children of Mana a while back but haven't gotten very far in it.

I beat it a week ago or so

it was alright, but it was pretty dumbed down

magic was 100% non-necessary in the game, and that kinda frustated me =\

I'll give heroes a go tonight, and see how it is (i find reviewers are just paid shills anyway)

it's very different from the other Mana games so far...

it's playing kinda like a cross between starcraft and tactics ogre

yeah, I'd hold off on running out to grab it

tactics ogre did rule for true, but this one is pretty slow paced and overly cutesy/anime for my taste i think

I Beat Children of Mana, didn't seem very good at all. Will probably get heroes soon. If you guys want to play and old school hard rpg give Etrian Odyssey a spin.

I didn't like Etrian Odyssey much. Durothil seemed to like it just fine tho
