Well they finally have stated that it is coming to NA. I'm really looking forward to this one, even though I have like 3 different copies of it already.

Re: Finally! - FF4 DS
yeah, I've been sitting on the japanese copy for a while, as well as the GBA version
Re: Finally! - FF4 DS
sounds like with this DS version they're actually restoring the whole game, and including all the stuff that was cut from the original japanese version
Re: Finally! - FF4 DS
cool
i still have this as Final Fantasy II on my SNES out in the living room
i hope this starts a new trend where developers realise they can't make cool games anymore so they just remake old good ones

Re: Finally! - FF4 DS
Is it the same as the remake they did for GBA?
If it is it's a lot of fun.

How do you like this spoiler, motherfucker? -Lyion
Re: Finally! - FF4 DS
it's supposedly almost double the size of the GBA remake
they've restored Kain's whole backstory, and you can use any character after you've obtained them
remember how in the original, palom and porom turned to stone to stop that hallway from collapsing, but you could go back later and had the option to give them an item to maybe un-stone them?
supposedly they've restored that portion of the game too, and you can restore them
all rumour, but it's quite a bit larger than the original

Re: Finally! - FF4 DS
i wonder if they will keep the ppl short and stubby or if they'll go to a more realistic-looking model ala ff7

Re: Finally! - FF4 DS
It still has a somewhat super-deformed look, but the style fits the game. Not a big fan of some of the looks of the characters (ie Kain) but I can live with it.
