but what about the mitchell-hedges skull?

the circumstances of its "discovery" are dubious at best, but the technical aspects of how it was made still baffle the experts. the entire thing was cut against the axis of the quartz (according to scientists, even with the most modern lasers, cutting quartz against the axis would shatter it). in regards to its craftsmanship, one HP lab expert was quoted as saying, "the damn thing simply shouldn't be."

researching this stuff for an anthropology paper, thought you guys might enjoy it
