The Doors: an otherwise decent band ruined by an overbearing organ and an unconvincing frontman

AC/DC: re-record previous album, re-name the songs, re-sell it to re-tards, re-peat
KISS: laffo

Red Hot Chili Peppers: please write more sackless pop fluff about what a scary place california is. or better yet, fire flea so he can go play for an interesting band

i don't think i really hate anything save for "pop" music like britney spears and 50 cent. i can almost always find at least one song from anything that i enjoy thoroughly.

PS: alex! fuck you! manzarek is still the only keyboard player in a rock band that i've ever loved. he was great. technically and otherwise. i like everything about that band except the sleaziness and some extremely square guitar moments on morrison hotel album

yeah they're fine. john mayall is one of my favs too. but manzarek was classically-trained and since i studied at the university i tend to like his style the most, because i hear a lot of chopin in it. he's a more technically advanced than someone like rick wakeman. in a sense i'm judging him like you guys judge the singers in that vocalist thread. i've never, ever once thought that manzarek's keyboard work was "overbearing." in most songs i didn't think it was enough

first and foremost, i absolutely hate what he did to his voice for Audioslave, it hurt to listen to. beyond that, his post-Audioslave solo album, Carry On, sucks pretty rancid wang (with the singular bright spot being his bluesy cover of Billie Jean).

while i personally find Soundgarden to be my all-time favorite band, even 11 years after their last album, i understand that it's not for everyone. i'm posting these videos as examples of the range, control, and talent that most people weren't able to hear in his Soundgarden-era work, as well as the smooth and rich vocal qualities that he threw away when working with Audioslave.

i don't expect everyone to like it. in fact, i don't care if i'm the only one on this board who enjoys his singing, but to say he's terrible is not only retarded but just plain incorrect. there, i'm done.

Nirvana wasn't the best but they deserve their props and place in history.

They literally ushered in a new paradigm in music. I can't remember exactly which member of Motley Crue said it, but the comment was "when I heard smells like teen spirit, I knew it was over."


However, my list of least favorite starts with:

Aerosmith - fucking HATE that band.
Grateful Dead - another suck ass band I can't stand.
Led Zeppelin - So sue me and call it blasphemy. Same sound EVERY single song.
KISS – Always sucked IMO. Way overrated.
