Gone Feeshing

Welp after close to 5 years I am finally making this post.

It has been a long and joyous ride I have seen and done more than I ever expected possible, much of that due to my last guild, Decade. I never thought I would see Vex Thal, I am toting a loot from there. I never thought I would reach the elemental planes, flagged thank you very much. I never thought I would amount to much in EQ, well ok I am still a slacker. Decade is imnsho the best damned guild on The Nameless and have done more with less and gone farther in less time than anyone I personally know. To them I say: Thank you for the opportunity to raid with a highly skilled, highly motivated, generally ass-kicking guild. It was my last quest in Norrath to find a great group of people and watch them work their magic (no pun intended)

Decade is not the only guild that I have associated with and I would be remiss not to mention Valorguard and Sun Tzu Guardians. Again I met many fine people in those guilds, some have moved on to bigger and better guilds, some have quit altogether, and some have disappeared into anonymity or can only be found here on Nameless Tavern.

I have met SOOOO many people that I now consider friends, many in other countries, some on other continents (/wave Euros, Aussies and NZ'ers), some in countries that I didnt even know existed (/wave Wagamama, who is from some country I cant even spell much less find on a map). There is no way I could say goodbye to all the folks I know and love in EQ, but you know who you are, and dont need to be called by name (some have even changed names/personas a couple times since I came to know and love them /wave Jessaril)

I did not purchase the last expansion, nor do I really have any intention to, many of you have moved on to that expansion and while I applaud your efforts, I just cant find a reason to drop $40 for a disk and another $40 for a 3 month subscription when I log on once a week if I am lucky. I jsut dont have the time to invest in a time-sink anymore, and it seems to me that is all that is left of EQ, just someplace to kill some time. This is not to say that you have heard the last of DeFeesh, but I have no immediate plans to renew my subscription which expired sometime last week. After 5 years it seems strange not to be thinking about what quest I need to finish or what the spawn time is on a boss mob, but I honestly believe that I have had enough so I'm gonna give it a go in the Real World (tm)... who knows I might even be back in a while, or you may see me in other games.
