Battletech for PC
Anyone else pick this up? I backed the Kickstarter and i'm thoroughly enjoying the hell out of it. It's a little on the slow side in terms of gameplay, but overall its lots of fun.
Re: Battletech for PC
without taking the time to look for myself, can you tell me whether this is story-driven RPG or if it's primarily giant robot combat?
the world needs a goooood modern RPG set in the battletech universe

Re: Battletech for PC
It is definitely story driven. Takes place in a region of space called the Aurigan Reach, sandwiched by Capellans and Taurian Concordat. Combat is very X-Com like, and you are limited to 4 mechs. Pilots have skill trees, mechs are customizable but only so far. There are variants for different mechs straight from the source books. You can jump around from planet to planet looking for work. You can follow the storyline missions to progress the game, but there is no need to rush, you can take random missions and build up mechs and xp etc etc.
The game has kept me up till 2am pretty much everyday this week.
