I'm getting bored with my necro.. thinking about an EQ Rogue

Is the rogue class very much fun and in high demand these days on the nameless?

I am tiring of my necro, considering its the 3rd one I have played.

Also, is it still true that halfings have a 20 percent bonus for leveling? Any other classes have a bonus. Otherwise I am going to play a barb rogue.

I played an SK for quite some time and it was great - but in all honesty I really liked my rogue 10x more.

Watching the mad damage scrolling up your chat box while fighting, getting double BS... it's all good.

The ONLY issue I had with my rogue was soloing... there comes a point when you just can't do it.

Rogues will always be needed for one reason or another.. picking locks, dragging corpses, high melee damage... poisons... scouting with SoS...

You'll like rogue... I think most people do actually.

Rogue can be totaly addicting, I played my shaman for years before I really got into playin Sori (she was originally made to be my EC tunnel bot)...now Lhor rarely sees the light of day cept to MGB 7 at the bank or make potions for Sorina heh.

You can solo pretty well in lower levels but I really don't reccomend it, first off you won't keep your backstab skill up to par and besides grouping and making friends (and enemies /grin) is really where it's at. I wouldn't make another Barb though myself, they're just too damn big to strafe in behind the mobs sometimes. Illusion masks are cool for awhile but that gets old. I think I'd prolly go with DE, you may as well look good from the get go eh?

Anyways pure meelee is a different game, once you lose that spellgem box and book you really do see stuff you hadn't seen before. Have fun~

varies based on your play time and your ability to play well with others. guild wise, it depends how far into the game you want to go, and how quick you meet current guild requirements.

we used a bard who pulled train after train of green mobs, she AEed them down while the rogue BS and melee'd them. I had my cleric there for healing, worked great, kept skills ups. I PLed with my cleric to get my defensive skills up in the upper 30s. At 43, I just grouped my rogue up with friend's level 65s, and we AE'd zones where mobs were lt blue and green to them.

rogues are way fun, you get grabbed up for groups pretty fast too.

Play gnome if you are man enough for it. Gnome illusion is probably the hardest one to come by nowadays?

If you cant handle a gnome because you're a girly man, choose wood elf, they look the coolest in armor and such, plus people will mistake you for a ranger and if you are lazy you can sit at range and use your bow.

DONT choose DE, its the most common illusion.
