OK, something must be really screwy about my system then, cause I've got a xp2000 with 512mb and a FX 5600, and I scored a 384. Yes, I've made sure it's not from trojans and such, running AdAware, SpyBot, and frequent checks of HIjackThis, plus memory resident MacAfee by default. (turned it off for the test tho). Pretty much everything ran at 1fps in that test, 2fps if I was lucky.

Now, yours is a faster processor and better video card, so I'm figuring I'll be at least some slower, but being only 1/6 the speed seems more than a little off.

OK, looks like the main things I need to look at are 512meg more of RAM, plus a newer video card than the 5600. Of course, given that I'm not working, that'll probably happen about when hell freezes over, unless someone wants to donate a new card to the Raving Liberal Needs Good FPS society.... heh

i don't need a fancy benchmarking program to make me feel inferior about my computer
