Who is gonna buy Guild Wars?

Post by Malluas »

i already preordered... my grandma hooked me up hehe. Great having your grandma stayin at your house and helping her out with things like lifting heavy stuff.. you get rewarded hehe

I took the plunge cause its free play and also, from what the WPE the missions were cool. Now that i kno that having henchmen screw you with item drops.. i can see that maybe i was wrong on drops hehe

just wondering who so i can put them on a buddy list when the game is out.

I played it for like a day during that world premier thing... I dunno.

It's cool that there's no monthly fee and all, but it just seemed way too linear for me.

There are some excellent ideas in the game though... like the way that individual zones are downloaded the first time you go in, rather than a monstrous 2-day patch before you can even play. The town instancing is a nice touch as well I think.
Clerics are actually entertaining to play as well, which never hurts... my favorite class actually.

All-in-all, some nice innovation in places that could really use it nowadays, but... well, it's just got this feeling to it that I really can't explain. Too linear I guess.

I personally will be waiting a bit before I decide whether or not to pick it up... and that still depends on how absorbed I get into WoW.
"Jared's off the diet?!" a California woman said incredulously. "It's suicide for me!"

I don't think I'll play, unless a lot has changed since the beta. The game was far too bland for me.

I am thinking about buying this game, but without the monthly fee, this game may attract the battle.net type crowd.

well i did alot of explorable area .. exploring.

Its great as a waste time game if your a WoW or EQ2 person.

but for me its great.. i can play at my leisure and i bet they are gonna add alot... still a few months till open beta (closed beta.. whatever they are doing right now) is closed.

i do hope they change the armor tho.. at elast so you can customize it to look unique i don't care about stats.
