Magelo Backgrounds

I have seen people make magelo backgrounds like the one for my magelo (you can see it by clicking the butterfly at the bottom of this post) and wonder if anyone can tell me where to find a program so that I can make my own? Or what program people use or even the basics on how to start making them?

If you want to make your own, you can use something as simple as Microsoft Paint which comes with Windows. If you want to do anything that requires more than a paintbrush, a fill tool, and an eraser, you'll need to invest in software such as PaintShop or PhotoShop.... there are others, of course, but those appear to be the most prevalent.
