IQ's and contact sports.

Where everyone discusses football, and two dorks try to pretend people actually like the NBA and spam what should be in PMs.

IQ's and contact sports.

Post by Diekan »

I subscribe to Discover magazine, and happened to run across a pretty interesting article about intelligance and contact sports...

I guess it just points out the obvious...

On a side note I've always thought of the major (most popular sports) Baseball players were the *sharpest* (in general), with Football players being the *least intelligent* (in general). Now, I'm not saying that Football players are retards, but I'd be willing to bet that a Baseball player would outscore a Football player on most aptitude tests. I guess such would be obvious after spending so much time getting pounded into the dirt for 6 months out of the year... but what shocked me was the soccor players are also suffering from the contact of their sport... not player on player, but by hitting the ball with their heads. Never really thought about that till I read the article.

Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer...
