I just bought a used copy of Kotor 1. I didn't really consider researching it too much, considering the rave reviews it has gotten. But I have one question, does the combat ever not suck? I was expecting dynamic, real time combat much like Jade Empire. However, the static, EQ-like auto attack system is not my game. Someone please tell me it gets better.

when you get lightsabers it gets more interesting to watch, but it never lineates from targeting and pressing a button

The game is more about the story.

If you are looking for a hack n slash, then I'd suggest Dungeon Siege.

That's the problem though Lyion, I want a hack 'n slash with a good story, like Jade Empire. If anyone has any suggestions for a good Xbox RPG I'm all ears/

the cobat really never evolves in either of the Kotor games unfortunatly though very well done the combat leaves something to e desired,

Hopefully they will do a Kotor 3 and copy jade empire np

Jade Empire is the latest and greatest Bioware game. If you're comparing it to something that was created 3-4 years ago, its not surprising you are disappointed.

I played KOTOR 1 and 2 and loved them both However, now that I've played Jade Empire its painful to go back to them, as the combat isnt nearly as good.

Hopefully KOTOR 3 will be an advancement and even better than JE, like Mop said.
