WEEK ONE -- how'd your team do?
My Dolphins CRUSHED the Broncos! Very surprised that we got over 400 yards of offense.
Gus Frerrote lit it the fuck up; 24/36, 275 yards passing, 2 TD, and 1 INT.
Surprising fact of the game: our ''horrible'' offensive line let up no sacks and protected Gus pretty well, although the run blocking didn't open many holes.
We had two goalline stands, almost had three but on fourth and goal Plummer found his FB for a 2 yard TD pass.
Jason Taylor's 85 yard fumble return was just the icing on the cake, boy that was thrilling!
DOLPHINS 34 BRONCOS 10

Baltimore's D looked stout against the best O in the league.
The problem with Baltimore is they are trying to make what should be a mostly run O into a balanced O, which is a mistake. They should hammer Jamal and throw vertical.
Boller and Wrigght both do suck. They should've picked up a vet QB two years ago.
San Diego lost to Dallas. Bastards.
Cinci beat Cleveland, but its hard to say how either team will do next week.

What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step.

9ers looked good for like 55 minutes.. for 3 quarters they shut down the rams completely. they did look tired at the end.
But their defense looks good (seeing as it wasn't against a shitty offense) and can shut down some good offenses. They will lose the next 2. But i can see them beating arizona twice and seattle once. and maybe 1-2 more games other than those.
Barlow i think if he has another game like that will lose his starting job to gore. Gore did good when he was in, barlow only did good in pass blocking he hit the same holes as Gore and gained 1 when Gore gained 4.

Dallas looked fucking stellar.
I'll put this on record - if Bledsoe plays like that all season, we are contenders.

ESPN put them winning the division and going to the 2nd round... finishing 11-5. Most writers in the city say 10-6.
I say, 16-0.
Just like the Mavs - 82-0.

Dallas is going to fucking own this year. Drew Bledsoe is a maniac when he actually has time to throw the ball. Dallas has an awesome line (picking up Marco Rivera in FA from Green Bay really helped solidify an already solid line), and with Julius Jones running like he did last season, the play action is going to work brilliantly. Plus Dallas will have a top three defense this year.
They are the team to watch in the NFC.

top NFC team is still like the 7th or 8th best team in the NFL
Pittsburgh looked pretty good against the titans (who are admittedly rebuilding)
always a good time when your 3rd or 4th string RB puts up 160+ yards
Roethlisburger looked ok too
If they can run the ball 40+ times each game they're going to be pretty fucking tough to beat again this year
Tadpole wrote:Not this season...there are some good NFC teams out there...Minnestoa rebuilt defense is awesome (they looked awful on sunday though), Eagles good each year, Dallas is going to be a top 5 team this year imo.
Eagles will be top NFC team again, and are not as good as Pats, Steelers, Colts, and I think about same ballpark as Chargers, Bills, Ravens
Minnesota's defense might look ok on paper, but that never means shit until they can do something on a sunday
Dallas won't win a playoff game with Bledsoe at quarterback, and their Dbacks are less than intimidating
