2,000

2,000 U.S. soldiers are dead as of today. They all died in vain. Of course I care about the 26,000+ Iraqi’s and others who have died, but you think that faced with the remains of 2,000 of their sons and daughters that Americans would march on Washington, D.C. I am not talking about a peaceful march ...

...and we are just pointing out that she may not be the best choice--even if she is a good lawyer.

Somehow, the fact that a handfull of other justices were appointed without bench experience has been used to enhance her qualifications. I would prefer to look at her ability to make objective ...

I am basing my arguement about "the list of past justices" off of Durck's comment.

The arguement that Durk makes about past justices in similar situations avoids answering the question and raises more questions about the effectiveness of past justices; IN ADDITION to questions about Miers' value ...

Whether or not past justices have or have not been qualified begs the question of whether or not Miers is qualified. In fact, many of the justices mentioned as "not been judges before they served on the Supreme Court" were not great justices in my opinion.

Perhaps I should clarify: for those of ...

Actually, she is quite different from most who are nominated to the Supreme Court. She is simply not qualified for the Supreme Court. She is not a good jurist and has never been a judge. She is not a scholar of the law. Researchers cannot dig up any past opinions. She has not had a brilliant career ...

Newsworthy

Appointing someone to serve on the Supreme Court for the rest of their natural life? That is no big deal...in fact I think the Mr. Bush should just appoint a friend to be on the Court. It would even be better if she was unqualified--that way when she makes really important decisions that effect our ...
