Jason Giambi likes them.

But does Barry?

Yes. I think they're all gonna get busted for it. Mark McGuire might not, but he probably will. The only major star in recent years that might get brought down in the shit storn will be Ken Griffey Jr, and that's because he's too small for hard core steroid usage.

There are "non huge" players that did hardcore steriod use

the interview with the owner of Balco discussing Marion Jones is kinda cool, it airs tonight. Pretty much saying she did it for 13 months, at the time no test would be able to acuratly find the substance she was using.

/shrug I could care less if they do or not. It is entertainment. I don't care that actors do rails of coc before they act. Barry hitting more home runs making baseball somewhat of a tolerable sport to watch on tv then I am all for it.

Could you imagine a slower - less exciting baseball on tv now, wouldn't that be grand /yawn

I watch Golf on TV. Compared to that, baseball is moving at the speed of light.

Baseball is fun, and doesn't need roid monkey's slamming 50 HRs a season to make it better.

I don't personally mind that players have used them in the past, but I think MLB is starting to move in the right direction, since a lot of these performance enhancing things can really fuck one up.

Barry Bonds was interviewed yesterday and stated he took steroids, possible for years, but didn't know he was doing them :eyecrazy:, the time frame that he was doing them for reaches back before he broke the home run record. Apparently the MLB is "looking into it".

Bond testified to the grand jury on dec. 4 2003 stating that he unknowingly took steriods from 2001 to 2003. The so called "the cream" and "the clear" from Balco. It was reported in the Chronicle yesterday.

The thing I saw (two seperate news reports on TV) made it seem like he was inteviewed yesterday and it came out. Maybe that was just when the Grand Jury's finding were released :dunno: . Either way I hope they strip him of his record. Teach everyone else a lesson.

Someone leaked the grand jury testimonies to the San Francisco Chronicle. The records supposed to be sealed.

Are you kidding me?

Bonds, unknowingly took the steroids. I dont think it mars what he did at all. Baseball is one sport that steroids hinder more than they help, not only in the long run, but short run as well. Bonds is the hardest working baseball player there is, steroids had little to do with it. With or without the roids, he would have still put up eye popping numbers.

Stripping him of the record? Please, it wont happen.

The IOC is looking into ALL of Marion Jones' Olympic Medals. They might take them all back. Wouldn't that be a kick in the proverbial nutsack.

Take a look at Bonds in the year 2000 and then 2001 once he picked up his "trainer".

Him playing the ignorant card won't work here. Same goes for Sheffield.

david Boston tested positive for steriods, but anyone who thought different was stupid. he put on 45 lbs and is the BIGGEST reciver in the league. he did it to the point that his body couldn't handle the weight tho, causing him to get hurt every year in the ankle or knee.

wtg super trainer...keep making the industry look like crap~

i don't even care anymore... most of the top teir baseball players use. I mean look at A-Rod.. i have his rookie card now he is GIGANTIC.

IMO it doesn't even matter anymore. They crack down.. baseball becomes worthless.. they don't it becomes a worthless sport with no integrity.

Either way they lose. And my opinion of bonds doesn't change... best player to play the game... before the steriods. But from some things i have read. What he took wasn't illegal.. YET. Like the Mark's stuff thing. Whether thats true or not doens't matter.

Until its proven the steriods helped him (which is impossible) and that he KNEW he was taking them (which he won't admit to) can't say he did it on purpose and it helped him. Yea we kno it did but can't 100% prove it.

Thats why i think basketball (if they can get over the fight) will take over the sports #2 spot. MAYBE #1 if everyone starts to go after football players. Especially now with so many teams scoring near 100 or 100+ now.

Basketball has ALOT of its own problems, if you actually think NBA is gaining in popularity, your smoking crack. As for football teams scoring near 100 points (im assuming you mean both teams combined) that is a possitive for football. People want to see high scoring games, they dont want to see defensive struggles.

Offense puts buts in the seat, defense wins championships. Thats why football is the most popular sport in America, lots of points scored.

Also if you are talking about going after football players for steroid use, again your smoking crack. Football players are tested often for steroids, and they are punished severly for using them.

Sorry, Im in the minority maybe. But any player that was proven to use steroids should have thir records stricken forever from the books. Fucking cheaters. I dont want to live in a society that demands its sports figures destory their bodies with steroids to make a sports game more 'exciting' for me. Fuck Barry Bonds, fuck em all.

Boston is about 240 lbs, and is still one of the faster receivers in the league...pretty coool :)

maybe he will actually help us next year, that injury prone motherfucker. he is getting into so much trouble with the law, mainly because he loses his temper, which he probably got from roids (and his fucking injuries that he sustains, like tearing cartilidge in your damn knee from doing a cut in practice).

I really like David Boston from a Physiological stand point, the weight I quoted must have been during off season.

He can't carry that kinda weight htough and expect to move like 190 lb reciver, just not possible. He puts up some crazy ass weight though. I saw a video of him putting up something like a 400 lb incline press in less than 3 seconds per rep. Thx HGH and EPO

Was about to say I can do the same until I saw that it was under 3 seconds per rep.

Come on now, we're talking about an ATHLETE here - these guys aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed, if you know what I mean. I am suprised most of them can even spell their own names... most athletes aren't very bright - this is common knowledge. Soooooo, on some scale - I don't think it's entirely unbelievable that Bonds didn't know what he was taking.

Jesus Diekan, the more you post, the more i realize how ignorant or just blatanly stupid you really are. Saying that most athletes are not very bright is not common knowledge. Its a steriotype. Wich i see is a common theme in the majority of your posts.

Just because they are athletes does not mean they get a free ride through college, i know i did it. Ive hung around many pro sports "stars", not one of them came across as dumb to me. They may not be sitting around talking about nuclear physics, jerking off to the theory of relativity, or to the thought that E = mc2, but they are just as educated if not more so than the average American.

To get accepted into a major university on a sports scholarship, you have to be bright. While you are in college, you have to keep your grades up. Many people think that once you get the scholarship the college makes sure they graduate, and pass classes by giving them special privalages.

This again is very untrue. Every year players dont play, get suspended, or punished for not passing classes. While the scholarship is there to play sports, they are there for education first and foremost. That is one reason why Kevin Garnett never attended college, he couldnt pass his SAT's. Even though he was the best high school basketball player in the country, not one college would let him in. He then jumped to the NBA and the rest is history.

There are very very few athletes that are not bright, i would say around 5% of the population.

As for Bonds, it is very possible he had no idea what he was taking. I know when i had my personal trainer he told me to do something, i did it. Thats what i paid him for, to get me in shape. The cream and the clear, was given to alot of athletes. None of them knew that it contained a type of steroid. Bonds had it in the lockeroom in front of everyone, he had other people use it. He never hid it, because he was told that it was something completly different. If he knew it was roids, he would have hid it, and not had it out for everyone to see.

So Diekan shut the fuck up you stupid motherfucker. Talk about things you actually know about, and quit generalizing. If you do this, i wont ever have to see you post again with your assanine and uneducated comments.
