Both sides have warriors, who are in fact the most over powered class.

You forgot to mention that Paladin was 27 levels lower than the warrior, Kizzie.

Most paladins are gimp and can be owned by me, that in itself is just sad, since I suck at WoW.

Once you stand around with your thumb up your ass for 2 minutes while their shield wears off then they go down. Only problem is you have to do this like 3 times before they actually die.

1 on 1 pvp isn't a good indicator of the strengths and weaknesses of a class in pvp

once battlegrounds come out i think people will realize how really balanced the classes are in those situations, every class has a weakness vs. another class, it'll just be like a huge warcraft game where groups will be composed of differing units to take advantage of those weaknesses

wtb roaming druid and hunter squads :cool6:

I agree mostly, every class except Paladins and Shaman are balanced in my opinion. Both of those classes are lopsided in pvp.

1on1 pvp, shadow priests are crazy overpowered. Rogues can beat them 'if'... shaman can beat them 'if'... but seriously, things have to go right for priests to lose those battles.

I said it once before... I'm going to say it again:

Shut the fuck up about Shaman. If you don't like getting your ass kicked by one, then play one yourself.

But I am afraid to, because I sense the nerf bat lurking in the shadows waiting for the whiny bitches to summon him.

There is NO spell that gives paladins full mana. If he suddenly got full mana, he drank a really big mana potion. And gosh, superior or greater mana potions are SO unique to the alliance. Yeah. Sure. Right. Also, Paladins have a relatively tiny mana pool (Mine is like 40% that of a Priest 6 levels lower than me, probably < 1/3 that of a priest my level) so even a moderately sized mana potion results in a huge movement of the blue bar.

Paladins have 2 invulnerabilities, which, together, last a grand total of 22 seconds at my level (54). Both have a 6 minute recycle time. (ie, no chance of using them more than once in a fight) One of them is utterly irrelevant against any caster, as it ONLY stops melee. You're a mage/priest/warlock? Cast away, goes right on through. Not to mention, that 2nd invuln also strips off any other self-buff we had up, which means re-casting it when the invuln wears off, in the unlikely event we have any mana. Plus, what are YOU doing while the paladin is invulnerable? If he's invuln, he's probably going to heal himself, which means he's not moving, and if it's the melee-only invuln he CANNOT ATTACK for the duration. Why in hell aren't you backing off away from him and using a bandage, or at worst running away?

Whenever I see someone whining about paladins in PVP, I just have to laugh, as it is so easy for any class with any real ranged capability to kill us, it's just not funny. We have NO ranged capability whatsoever, so if you can snare, root or increase your own movement speed, you should never, ever, ever die to a paladin. Even if you don't kill him, he's certainly not going to kill YOU, as he's never going to CATCH you. Hunters, Priests and Warlocks especially should never die to a paladin. If you do, you did something stupid. Even counting in fear, I think the class that most destroys paladins is Hunters. Run speed haste combined with mana drain and snare, can kite the paladin all over the place, shooting all the while, pet going all the while. Mana drain stops heals, zero chance of ever actually reaching melee, ugh. Absolutely nothing paladin can do to stop it, either.

I tend to agree with the consensus. Both of the hybrid classes, paladin and shaman are powerful classes. Overpowered? I don't think the shaman is, but I do think the paladin talents might need some tweaking.

I had my mind dead set on playing a shaman at release, since played one through most of beta. But the popularity of the class kinda turned me off on it. I started one up on live day and when I did a /who and saw the majority of the server also choose shaman, I moved to priest and I'm glad I did. I'm actually enjoying myself at the moment.

I've actually rolled a priest twink atm, and having a blast with it

played one to 20ish in beta, and really enjoying it the 2nd time around

also the server census of 4% population playing priest kinda makes it interesting~

record is 14 group tells within 30 seconds of announcing a LFG priest

ahh... taxx got owned 1 too many time by an alliance player, and now he's a whiner.... I'm guessing (completely a guess) that you were at one time a member of one of those TW guilds that you mentioned above... if not, you damn well should have been with your elitist attitude and clear ignorance of the subjects you speak about... i logged in to do a quick check of the level 60's on Alleria, and there were 7 wHorde and 9 Alliance, i wouldn't call that a huge difference myself, but I'm not retarded....

all thru beta, and continuing on most of the servers now, the alliance has generally twice the population of the horde side

that all of the 12 year old power gamers that have nothing to do but play WoW are horde

Wow! I honestly suggest you research all your info before you post statements like that. I know an entire guild that is all horde and we are all over 12 and even 21 years of age. Don't generalize like that it's really stupid. If you want to flame Taxx take it to R&F. I was actually enjoying reading all the names people have found.

First of all, no, I was never in a zerg guild.

Secondly, our guild is doing extremely well.

Thirdly, I won't toot my own horn on my pvp skills, you can ask other people who have seen me if you really care.

Whisperwind has 4 Horde level 60's and 21 Alliance level 60's.
