A cell phone ringing with some witty ring.
Put it on vibrate please. Oh, and don't pick up your phone and talk loundly as soon as the airplane clears the runway. Someday I'm going to snap.

How witty.
See above to see how I feel about witty rings.

About a year and a half ago, I was very against my girlfriend's Christian denomination, the Seventh-Day Adventist church. I talked to my pastor about them, and read up on them every night for weeks on end. I even talked to the pastor at my girlfriend's church because I had a lot of questions for him. I asked him to come to my (now old) church on Sunday, since he taught on the Sabbath, and had Sundays off, and I wanted to get his opinion about the other pastor's sermon, and the way the service was held.
Anyway, we were in the 3rd row center and his cell phone started ringing in the middle of the other pastor's sermon. He was fumbling around trying to get it out of his pocket really fast, and then he dropped the phone and it landed under the chairs in front of us, so he had to go up to that next row to get it and finally turn it off. He turned beet-red. I could tell he was soooooo embarrassed. He had about a thousand people all staring at him. Finally, a few people around us laughed, and the pastor up on the sanctuary started laughing too. It rang like a total of 6 times before he finally got to it.
Poop happens. We need to be more tolerant of other people's innocent mistakes.

while i agree it is important to be tolerant of people's innocent mistakes, if that pastor had his phone on vibrate-only there never would have been a problem
