A. Ok history professor, enlighten me on what wasn't right that has never been directly against what the majority wanted. Ever heard of Hitler? German people went along with the program because THEY HAD TO, NOT BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO. The majority of Americans wanted us to go to war with Saddam Hussein, and that was right too. The majority of Americans supported the war in Vietnam. The majority of Americans supported dropping 2 nukes on Japan. So WTF are you talking about? Let's hear this great history lesson you have to teach me. Show me in history where America, not some obscure third-world rat-infested country, did something that was AGAINST what the majority wanted yet was still considered "right."
The majority of the south wanted slavery, wanted to ban interracial marriage, wanted to keep blacks segregated, and wanted to stop black people from voting. Under your bizarre system of right and wrong, the north should have let them be because thats what their majority wanted.
Good enough an example for you?
B. No, what I said earlier was absolutely not a copout... not even in the slightest. The majority of Americans will never accept homosexual marriage as a social standard.
You refuse to answer the question (if circumstances were different, would you support WHAT IS RIGHT over WHAT THE MAJORITY WANTS?) directly and instead go on tangents. You are copping out.
C. I don't give a rat's fat hairy ass what the Eurotrash countries think right now. Many of them are under liberal/socialist/labor party rule, so of course their opinions are going to be jaded. /Wave Germany (Schroeder); /wave England (Blair); /wave France (Chirac), etc. Pretty soon they will come around. Schroeder is rapidly losing popularity in Germany. The whole world is going to start to turn conservative again... just give it some time.
I didn't ask what you thought of Europe's opinions (because, with few exceptions, I also think Europe is making a lot of mistakes with the idiocy of socialism), I asked what you would do and think if you were born there. Their majorities are DIFFERENT from what your view of right and wrong is. Would you stand your ground and support what you thought was right, or agree with them?
