The Knicks signed Jerome James for almost $6M a year. As someone who's followed the Sonics for years, let me just say: HA HA!

although his numbers are crappy during the regular season, his numbers against the kings in the playoffs were quite good. 17.2/9.4

Only Thomas would figure that a single series, against a notoriously soft team, would outweigh 263 games of contrary evidence. I repeat: HA HA!

thats the thing, he's a decent NBAer, but he is nowhere near worth this kind of money. It's just sick how borderline NBA players are signing these huge deals

He's not even decent by NBA standards, plus he's a headcase. I can't wait to see how he hand;es the pressure of playing in New York...

He'll be a significant downgrade from Nazr Mohammed in the middle for the Knicks. Hey, at least they have Malik Rose to back him up!

Well, what other big man was out there that was available for the Knicks?! Do I like James? No. Is he better than what the Knicks currently have playing center? Yes.

Hope they like seeing him eat up their salary cap at the rate of almost three-quarters of a million dollars per year, per point and rebound that he averages... combined. But hey, they can always hope that the pressure in Seattle was just too much for him and that he'll benefit from the laid back, player-friendly atmosphere in New York.
