I usually hit up the spellbinders tower (which is on the way to Hearthglen in WP)(just watch out for the scarlet high clerist that sometimes happens to be up at the top-63 elite), Hearthglen elites (Like Langston said, watch out for the 61 elite high protector lorik), and the elite dragonkin in Azshara (more greens than cash). Took me awhile but I got my epic mount that way.
I make fairly decent money as a skinner/miner wandering around Burning Steppes. The elite dragonkin there drop decent silver, as well as black dragon scales. I also got a blue trinket out of the chests there.
There are roaming alliance that go from camp to camp looking for the chests, but they aren't unbearable.
Also since you are a rogue, and probably herbalism/alchemy, it might be worth it to farm Kingsblood to sell for factioning quests for the Thorium Brotherhood. I don't know what they are going for now, but at one point they sold for 8g/stack easy.

Tyrs hand. 15g an hour. Lots of grey's that go for 2g a piece. Fucktons of Runecloth anywhere from 2-5 a mob. I farmed for 5 days and made about 1k gold, got exalted with darkspear trolls from the runecloth for my pvp mount, and found 3 epics.
Just put on some music and go to work in Tyrs hand. And every farmer that talks to you, just tell em
Wo bu shi zhong g uo ren, wo shi mei guo ren, dui bu qi
Just means "I'm not chinese, i'm american, sorry" and they'll leave you alone ;p
I learned a lot of other shit too, pretty cool language really.

Tyr's Hand is overloaded with farmers. There's usually too much competition and you have to dodge two different quest mob groups that come in erratically.
Hearthglen is good farming although it is slightly less cash than a good Tyr's Hand session. Elites drop from 5 (rarely) to 25 silver + Runecloth. Average is around 10-15s (it gets streaky). It's fairly easy to pickup half a bag of Runecloth stacks that sell for good cash in the AH. White drops are fairly regular and average about 90s to 1.4g each. Greens drop pretty often with a typical two hour session netting me 2-4 level 51 greens that usually are worth 3-10g (if I can get it.)
There are 8 spots that Thorium veins can pop with half of them frequenly popping Rich thorium veins. One is in the mines and is always Rich although there are alot of regular level mobs to clear down there and soloing it may be difficult.
There are 2 Rare mobs that are easily soloable. One is the Judge and the other is the Scarelet Smith. The Smith always drops a BoP blacksmith pattern worth 1.5 g (vendor) and a green item. He is a fairly regular spawn. (The other pattern is in the main smithy area and drops off the rare mob there but he is not soloable due to the number of adds.)
There are several chest locations in Hearthglen but I've noticed that they have not been spawning lately. However, there are 4 that seem to be fairly regular. One at the breastworks at the base of the road, one at the next set (rarer), one in the main Tower inside Hearthglen and a possible one in the Spellbinder Tower before you get to Hearthglen proper.
The tower is a fairly easy solo. No elites. The only time that the Elite guy will be up is when someone is running the escort quest. The escort quest also spawns a group of extremely nasty Scarlet Elites that are in no way soloable by anyone. I killed one of them.. once.. when he was alone and his group was broken.
Lorik is a pansy if you have him solo. He's a typical gung ho paladin. Interrupt his casts or, better yet, drain his mana and he's a wuss. However, he has a knockback and can get realy crazy with bashes and interupts of his own. If he manages to channel thru a heal, it could be trouble.
The most important thing about Hearthglen is that there are lots of mobs to choose from and it's easy to farm. There's also plenty of regular level mobs to burn thru if you've exhausted the elites in your area. Respawn times are quick and give you just enough time to med up for the next round if you run it right. If I spent more time there instead of PvP'ing, I'd have a heck of alot of cash.
There is something to be said to burning thru regular, non-elite mobs. However, that gets kind of boring for me sometimes. Hearthglen takes a little more effort and, for me, that makes farming more enjoyable.

P.S. This only counts for every other server besides Durotan. Hearthglen farming on Durotan sucks. All the mobs in Hearthglen on Durotan only drop grey rock chips and they always train the entire zone, laying waste to everyone in their path and permanently causing brain damage and sexual disfunction. /cough cough

We do the apple quest and disguise ourselves as the scarlets. When the stupid gold farmers attack us and auto follow we walk them into real mobs. It's a slaughterfest for about an hour.

Tell me more about this Timmy. Thanks.

ya - demons, if they are crazy camped will hit up elementals and hope for some luck - got 5 essence in a hour a couple days ago... to bad I needed em.
at worst if im there will farm faction and usualy pull in a decent amount ofgold a hour + sellable shit.
Running SM with a warrior ( im a fucking priest with 31 points in disc and the rest in holy I can barely solo in SM so will team up ) we cleared the whole place ( every mob) in less than 90 min and both walked away with over 15 gold each. FInd a a partner for 3 or 4 hours clear it a couple times and you will be fine np.

Janet, Once a day (that's the rumor, I got him twice in a day once) a little boy named Lil Timmy spawns in Stormwind near the bridge between Trade District and Old Town. He has a white kitten walking with him and is selling (1) for around 60s. He walks through the Canals and into Cathedral Square then disappears regardless if anyone bought his white kitten. I got one for myself and for a friend, then started camping him for profit. People pay between 4-5g for them in AH. Lately though I've had a hard time selling them. So on nights when you're bored and waiting LFG, take a fishing pole and bait and sit on the bridge and scroll out so you can see the entire area. I only do it when I'm in the area and don't feel like grinding exp.
deadwind pass undead crypt, everything is level 60 there and it's the most fun grinding i've had
gotten two jeweled amulets of cainwyn and a bunch of blues and what not from there - it might not be the most efficient grinding place but the challenge keeps it fun and the chance to drop high level epics is there
also if you know how to kite the level 61-62 elite dragons in wetlands can be fun
