Well, he would have a valid point if that's what he's saying. He's trying to create some monolithic military industrial complex that somehow controls the economic fate of the nation with aid from the shadowy gnomes of Zurich.

Well, of our federal budget. "Defense" accounts for what? 30% of expenditures? That can buy a lot of shadowy gnomes from Zurich.

Off the top of my head, I believe the FY03 budget dedicated around 15-18% to defense, which was the second-largest cut, well behind Social Security, and just ahead of welfare and unemployment. I'm not sure about other years... just had to look that up a while back for some reason.

Wow, so thats what a sheep circle jerk sounds like. I'm thankful I came along to ejaculate you all, I personally wouldnt ejaculate over myself, but /shrug these are desperate times I guess, so I'm happy to oblige.

As for me being "wrong", maybe I am /shrug, tho and I know your not used to this, but I traded my IQ a long time ago for independent thought and sense my IQ is far far bellow that of a sheeps at this point, I require a bit more than someone telling me "you're wrong"

Keep the conspiracy theorist theory going too, that is pretty damn humorous. With the majority of good wholesome americans being just like you little lost sheep looking for a shepard, there doesnt even need to be a conspiracy.

But, thats ok, keep telling yourself that you are a patriotic american and that your Government does no wrong, while its kicking people out of your Shepards speech for wearing t-shirts saying I support the Troops. Yah freedom of speech my ass.

Don't even think about defense cuts. Anyone that suggests it deserves to have a motherfucking plane crash into their god damn house.

Clinton BUTCHERED this country's military readiness and we are STILL paying for it.

Find more efficient ways to fight the wars, find cheaper ways but don't cut the fucking funding for these fine folks. If you served during the Clinton administration or know someone who did, ask them how great our readiness was during those years. It was like that washed up bunch in "Kelly's Heroes" when Clint Eastwood goes to meet Oddball's crew.

These men and women are defending our freedom, please don't force them to nigger-rig their gear to make sure you can sleep soundly at night.

Money on our military could certainly be spent FAR more efficiently. WTF do we need more B2s for, as an example? It's a holdover from cold-war mentality, and it does NOTHING for current types of conflicts that can't be done better & cheaper by other, already existant planes in the arsenal. Each B2 goes for what, > 1 billion? I can think of FAR better uses for 1 billion for the military. Maybe on things like, I dunno, armoring up humvees and giving the troops better body armor... Naw, ridiculous concept.

BTW, I think what Alezrik was talking about was how Cindy Sheehan, who was there inside the Capitol Building for the State of the Union speech at the personal invitation by a member of Congress, was forcibly ejected AND charged with a crime for nothing more than wearing a shirt with an anti-war slogan on it. She wasn't shouting, wasn't waving banners, just was just standing there watching the speech, but was wearing a shirt that Bush's cabal didn't care for, and she was kicked out and was booked on criminal charges. Yeah, real guardians of our civil rights those Bush folks are, eh?

She started to unfurl a banner which is forbidden there. Someone needs to tell the fucking cunt that it isn't a goddamn football game.

The fucking bitch shouldn't have been there anyways. All she has become is an annoying mouthpiece for moveon.org. Her little shtick has become worn out and old.

It's sad that the Democrats really only have that one hand to play. They honestly cannot come up with a better weapon?

The banner story was a mis-reporting. She had no banner. Who's claiming she did, Fox News? Probably. She simply was wearing a T-shirt with a message, she didn't even attempt to draw attention to it in any way.

BTW, what's so evil about MoveOn anyway, at least compared to any other PAC? You slammed any right-wingers recently for being asscoaited with any conservative PACs? I personally would call, say, any PAC associated with Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, etc. to be FAR more evil than any liberal-oriented site.

You know what? I have never been more in agreement with one of Bill Mahr's new rules: "If you're a supporter of the war, good for you, it means you have to go to Iraq and help fight it."

You're so in favor of the war, Fin, why the fuck aren't you in the army and volunteering for active duty? Or are you only in favor when it's at no personal risk to yourself... Hell, maybe the rest of us'll get lucky and you'll get to come home in a nice, flag-draped, non-televised box.

Except the Bush Administration had nothing to do with that. Not that it ever stopped much of the liberal media from blaming this <and everything> on him.

I'm sure you were equally outraged when the same staff removed people during Clintons SOTU address for inappropriately wearing political statement clothes there during his speech?

There's continuity in the action. The SOTU is a government affair not intended as a political rally regardless of which President is sitting. Since it is constitutional, It should remain as such.

Thats a terrible analogy and an even worse endquote. So you're hoping someone you disagree with politically will volunteer and die, especially someone young and ignorant?

Are you glad the others who have volunteered for service have died, and is it correct to pulpit that, even on a message board, especially if they support the war?

I did my time in the military. I support the war.

But ya know...hearing about the soldier dying that had like 10 days left before he was scheduled to go home kinda sucked.

Heh-here's a plan--they say we can't cut and run or we'll be back there in 10 years doing it all over again. Maybe by then we'll fight our wars with robots or a game of baseball.

BTW, what's so evil about MoveOn anyway

I am getting sick of every fucking day a new bunch of bullshit in the news courtesy of their junior high tactics.

Nothing personal Arlos, but that's ridiculous. There's no aircraft in the US inventory that can currently do what the B-2 does: carry an assload of bombs with a low profile.

If by independant thought you mean "being wrong", I'd tend to agree. How's that whole "biggest business in the United States" routine working out for you? It's not like the American budget is a secret, you just can't be bothered to go get the data. It's much easier to just make unsubstantiated claims in the name of "independant thought", isn't it?

Keep the conspiracy theorist theory going too, that is pretty damn humorous. With the majority of good wholesome americans being just like you little lost sheep looking for a shepard, there doesnt even need to be a conspiracy.

If it's bovine to you know, actually know what I'm talking about, have evidence to support my positions, and be informed instead of pulling ludicrously incorrect statements directly out of my ass, then ya, I guess I'm a "sheep".

careful...he will produce some fucked up statement about how a new bomber can be designed solely out of ganja and can fly in a lower profile then the B2's.

What I still find funny was right before we went into Irag Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton, and therest of the 60's retreads allstood arm and arm and said Iraq had WMD. So we went in...then all of them run around like ants under a magnifying glass screaming Bush is evil he went into a unarmed country etc etc.

Last week a Bath Party General stated all of the the WMD's were sent to Syria. So do we take his adivce and hit Syria or do we wait, hold hands, and sing KoomBiya while we wait for the UN to sort things out and figure out ghow much Oil for Food Stamps Syria has? How about Iran? do we invade? If so will you be one of the whiney ass liberals screaming bloody murder 3 days afterwards because Bush went in? Maybe we should let the UN Security Council field this one. Perhaps if and when Israel or some other country goes up in a puff of atomic smoke you guys can find someone else to play pin the blame on the official with.

You scream about the state of desrepair on our systems and our military army. Where were you when a defective armour plate in a Black Hawk was responsible for the death of quite a few Rangers? Or when Clinton did a cut in run in Somalia? Oh thats right that was ok because it was a democratic president.

Equivalency, the fall-back neocon tactic. They can no longer deny fucking things up. Now they have to associate with someone else in an attempt to spread the blame.

By the way, Alito dissented from the conservatives in his first case, upholding a stay of execution for a death row man that the conservative judges voted to lift. UH OH?

Not in the least. Conservatives like myself want qualified judges on the bench, not legislators with an agenda to push.

Maybe if Alito dies in Teddy's lifetime we'll get another most heartfelt and respectful speech on the Senate floor about what a model justice Alito was, despite having a herniatic fit and voting against him. Rehnquist I'm sure appreciated the sincerity.
