You really haven't a clue. My aunt lived in a nice middle class area in a mid-sized city. They put in a low income housing project and the neighborhood was fine. But then the people that lived in the project trashed the place (they actually ripped the aluminum siding off the building and sold it for scrap), were loud and obnoxious, had fights and police there all the time. People on drugs were tripping out in front of the park where the kids played. So families started moving out and housing prices went thru the floor. Soon all the houses were owned by landlords that specialize in welfare housing (since they were the only ones willing to buy) and the whole area became a cesspool of drugs and crime.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

MLK - his wife many others paved a road for minorites to be Equal but they didnt give it to them with a silver spoon they have to work just as hard as everyone else to achieve their goals. they want violence to stop they want drugs to stop they want the problems that plague ghettos to stop then they need to STAND THE FUCK UP AND TAKE ACTION FIRST - They need to get off their asses ( figurtivly) and say I dont want my neighborhood like this, I dont want to raise a child in this. it's happened on off occasions - in baltimore City hampden is the biggest example - People said they wanted their neighborhood back, Fells point ppl wanted their neighborhood back they wanted to walk the streets safely and have a thriving economy - IT has happened it can happen. The main link between those successful ones - Once people said they wanted their communities back and chased out drrug dealers and took to the streets to deture crime - and let the city know they would not stand for it - oddly enough rich white ppl started buying cheap houses, fixing them up - PUSHING THE ECONOMY
Until the BLACK dominated areas of west baltimore, cherry hill, Druid hill park, east patterson park ECT stand the fuck up and take action against the leaches on their fucking neighborhoods and strive to make it better it wont fucken happen no matter how much police how much govt involvment IT STARTS IN THOSE COMMUNITIES. Until then it is the poor niggers fault that they wont take their comunities back.

The last part of that is those poor black folk that first lived there, those poor white trash ppl that lived there - their homes are worth more now, they can live safely their children can go to decent schools that can get funding for more than metal detectors. leading to more college education coming from that area, more informed people from that area more people with strong ties to that area - creating a strong communty over lets say a 20 year period.
until people IN those communities take that first - hardest - step there isnt a whole lot the govt can do to fix it

I bolded it out since it is complicated. Putting low income areas doesnt pan out unless those ppl want to succeed. Again alot of this relies on the ppl with in the community to strive for better than food stamps govt cheese and a paycheck from the 'man'
I'm not sure where I stuttered anywhere in that post about what I thought the best solution was but I can run down some others too.
1. Stop increasing min wage. You are forcing companies to pay ppl that may not be worth it - they will cut that job before a company will pay someone who is not worth it.
2. Stop hading out checks to ppl that are not single mothers. and when we hand out that check - we are in charge of it from a govt stand point. You are not spending that money on hair and a forty or your babies dady. You are spending it on rent - electricy and food for your child. The end.
3. Stronger penalties for violent crimes. I dont mean jail time that doesnt work obviously I want ppl humiliated when they commit a crime - kanes, public exections. ect.
4. complete overhaul of our judicial system to go back to protecting the ppl. fuck big govt fuck big companies that chase ppl out of areas then leave it decimated.
5. More inner city big brother programs advertised outside the inner city. Advertise to the burbs more, offer kids funding for college for participating. 5 hours a week is a little to give to change the course of a life.
6. Cities stop buying out ppl to put a target or walmart in place of their home.
7. Harsher penalties with less red tape for drug dealers and users. Fuck that shit that guy on the corner sells drugs everyone fucking knows he sells drugs you can watchi him all day selling drugs. If you are not going to stop him in the community - then the govt needs to take him off that fucking corner and put him in a hole for the rest of his life with enough light to see that he is now sleeping in a pile of his own shit.

I can list more if you want that would help Zan. then again I can scape goat and say it isnt my job. but I am not going to, maybe I should sign up for big brother program - one life is alot to affect and since I live here maybe it will do some good. Either way its alot more than Govt that needs to get involved to keep saying Over 100 years they have fucked this up is great and all - but its not a solution to any sort of problem its just pointing a finger and going lalalala

It was a black city, run by black people, backed by a black state government. It was the most fucked place I have ever been. You can't sit there and tell me that the American government isn't doing enough or is somehow at fault here.
The race is at fault. Their culture is at fault. The American population is at fault for buying off on their individualistic bullshit and telling them that, "Hey it's ok to be the way you are. We know you have been oppressed. Here have a free handout."
