Thanks for pointing that out Jay, very valid point. I would never tell him that because this is not about how I feel about the war, this is about how proud I am of him for doing what he wanted to. I almost beaned his mother in the head when he first went away to training because she kept giving him shit all through the night about various crap. She's a little.... well she's not the best at being a nice human being. :P
Thanks for the replies, I wondered if like well I went to the park and so and so did this would just be boring to him or not, mainly I just want him to know I love him to bits and I am really proud of him and that I am gonna miss him like hell.
The good thing is he said he should have access to email, so letters won't be super slow. I think even if I get an email and regular ady I will still write a letter or two just because handwritten letters seem more thoughtful.
Boy he looks so different from when he went into training, he was already a great kid, real mature, but still you can tell he's grown up even more. It wasn't like I was hugging my "little" cousin goodbye anymore.... he's all big and sure of himself now.
