what is your point? i've never disputed that the military is dangerous, or that people die during peacetime.
when there are 600,000 more people, that's 600,000 more people that might have accidents. it's a statistical certainty that there will be more deaths. to think otherwise is beyond the realm of logic. and in that chart you can only go back to 94 before the base # of troops starts to grow by hundreds of thousands per year over the most current data. you have to go to 1987 to find more deaths in one year, when there were 640,000+ more troops on duty than in 2004. that data just isn't comparable
the year we invaded Iraq, death #'s increase by 40% over the previous year. the next year, they're up almost 90% from before the war. is it a fucking coincidence? the numbers are not constant from before and during the war, you're dead fucking wrong.
