You're on crack. I sent you a different offer that's a lot more realistic.

And I think I could get more from Gid for Barber.

No I can't do it.

Listen, don't trade him away. He's your rock. You don't want to trade away any RB's of that caliber, especially not for recievers. Not even for TO and a runningback.

Yea I looked at Gids team and it sucked.

Don't worry about my lack of knowledge, I'm not gonna bone your league up with lame trades. Even though I know nothing about football, I do know a lot of about fantasy leagues.

First he offered me Chris Chambers for TO. Which would never happen. So I offered him TO for Tiki. Which should never happen. But then he made it sound like it could happen if I offered more, at which point my conscience kicked in.

my golden rule for fantasy leagues is no 2 for 1s.

Unless I'm getting the 1 of course.

Might be a suprise. Frankly if I don't do some moves I'm going to be in a world of shit. At first look I was somewhat happy with my auto draft but now at second glance and after looking at the other teams, I think I'm a bottom tier team.

right there with you...

but then, I was the last pick in a 16-team league, so... that sucks. Only thing I'm happy with is my defense pick, but that NEVER does enough to matter.

Two things of note from being at the draft.

QBs were going like crazy. I had to reach to draft Eli because there was litterally nothing left. That's why some of you probably got some crappy QBs. Also, the people that were live kept going after defense when it's a pretty useless position.

imo defense and tight ends are what wins games most times

there's not a lot of difference between the top 10-15 running backs, but after Gonzalez and Gates there's a big drop off in TE production

same with top 5 defenses vs the rest

Couldn't disagree more. RBs are what win games. Alexander, LT, and LJ will singlehandedly win games for people.

The Top 3 RBs put up over 200 Fantasy points. The 14th and 15th fantasy RBs put up under 100 points. You cut your productivity in HALF going from 1 to 15.

There's a HUGE dropoff from different RBs. Check their stats. TEs are a dime a dozen, and Gonzalez is not a big point guy from a fantasy standpoint. Shockey, Heap, and Cooley will all probably have more fantasy points than Gates and Gonzo this year. Either way, its likely no TE will break 100 points. The top tier RBs will break 200 giving a lot more value.

Defense is a crapshoot. RBs are money. QBs are valuable, but the dropoff from the top QB to the 10th ranked is less than 3 points a week.
What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step.

Running backs win fantasy championships. You should have seen my live draft. Nobody touched a QB other than Peyton outside of round 6.

Trade me Tiki you bastard.

If someone is desperate for a QB, I've got Michael Vick sitting on the bench. Only took him when I did cause last year you could assign a couple people to "flex" spots, where they'd earn you points, but didn't have to be in one of the QB/RB/WR/etc slots, and I figured on putting him in there. Since we don't have that....

So, I'll listen to good offers for him. No, sorry, I won't trade him straight up for Kurt Warner, which someone actually offered me. heh.

It always amazes me the amount of just shitty rip-off trade offers I get in FFLs. I almost never trade because people are dumb and want to get something for nothing.

Riiiiight. At BEST it's a side-grade, and I expect Warner to get replaced by Leinart by halfway into the season anyway. What possible reason is there for me to do that deal to begin with? I don't NEED a QB, why would I trade a QB just to trade a QB, especially when I get back someone who I like less?

You want Vick, offer me a useful RB or WR; those're positions I could stand upgrading. I've already got Peyton for my QB, and Gates for my TE, so those're completely set.

Any trade should, ideally, make sense for both sides. Vick's an asset, I'm not going to move him unless I get tangible benefit back that makes sense for ME. No, I'm not going to land a LT or Shaun Alexander with him, he's not that valuable, but he's no scrub, either.
