Had NO business starting Big accidentprone Ben. I don't care what anyone says - he was not 100% He acted like he was afraid to get hit, couldn't put the ball where it needed to be and over all just played like shit.

Pittsburgh got beat by a sub-par team because of a stupid decision to put their golden boy back in before he was ready.

Jax beat both Pitt and New England last year, and is far from a subpar team.

They are an AFC playoff team, and a good one.

If Pitt had played Batch, they probably would've been beat by more, as even a 90% Roethlisberger is better than a 100% Batch.

We'll see what shape Ben is in at home against Cinci.

The hitting last night was one of the best games I've watched in years. Lots of "ooooh!" moments.

They'll be able to run exponentially better on CIN, so Ben will look back to form with the play action stuff.

I think he'll be fine

if you look at the game, Ben and Hines just weren't in sync yet

Hines catches that long bomb in the first quarter, steelers end up winning the game 21-3 i bet

/shrug

Jags are a good team, the fact that the steelers offense did nothing all game, yet they only lost 9-0 seems to me that they're going to be alright if they start hitting some plays later on

I wouldnt count on it. Did you see what Cinci did to Larry Johnson?

If Cinci comes out and guns two TDs early, it'll take the Pitt running game out of the equation, which I think is Marv's plan.

I agree this was a good game. Jax is a damn good team, and the hitting was good to watch.

Jax needs to change gears though and it'll be interesting to see how they do against Manning @ Indy.

Indy always beats Jax, but the final is always like 16-13. No matter where it's played.

Alright, fuck it - they're only goats.... I'll give you the 14 points. I think Mannings passing game is going to create serious problems for J-ville's D.

I agree with diek....i think manning will give Jacksonville some troubles, but there are not alot of teams that are succesful against manning. They are playing in Indy, colts win 24-10

As far as Ben and the Steelers go, i think a 80% ben is better than Batch at 100%. I cant fualt them for letting Ben play the game, they have ridden him the last 2 years, if he says he is ready to play...then let him play. I think the "scared" to get hit comment was right, he did seem alittle tentative to get hit. However if i have Stroud and Henderson (6-6, 316 and 6'7" 325 resp.) coming down on me, i would be alittle shy of getting hit too. Best duo of interior lineman in the league imho

in the system they run, i honestly don't think that Batch is much of a downgrade from Roethlisburger

the only realy difference is that Roethlisberger is fucking hard to tackle
I don't think he throws the ball any better than Batch

I don't think he did too badly.

Jacksonville's runningback was a fucking machine though, reminded me of oldschool Barry Sanders once or twice.

Fred Taylor always has had flashes of brilliance, coupled with unfinished seasons on IR.

Taylor is usually only good against the Steelers, heh

It really didn't help that Palamalu was playing with only 1 arm

he was totally ineffective
