He was in the army as was my birth mother. The DNA test is possible I guess, but it would be rather difficult for me to have this done while I'm living in Malaysia.

And then be the first white person to take it to maury, chop chop, i'll be tuning in everyday at 3.

She still didn't reply to my email. My younger brother (that lives with her) told me that she said she really wants to read the email over before replying to me. What the hell is there to read that could possibly be confusing? I guarantee'd her I will do everything in my power to not fuck up his family, but that I do plan to meet him and my half sister some day. It's been a week since I sent he the email.

Seriously, what do you expect to accomplish by meeting them?
I dont know the whole story, but what if he left her because he didnt want a kid then? Youre unwanted goods. Do you even realize how very awkward it would be to just show up on his doorstep and say hey dad I was a load that wasnt swallowed 20something years ago?
Oh hey son, come in and have coffee.

What do you hope to happen? I'd think this whole thing through a bit more...

I don't hope for anything. I may have been unwanted goods by my birth parents, but I was and am very much so wanted goods by my parents. I have a mom and a dad. I don't need or want another dad or mom. I can't stand my birth mom, and I thank God every day that I was adopted.

For now all I want is to find more information about him. I'm curious, that's all. But yes, some day I do want to meet my him and my half sister. I have no expectations.... simply curiosity.

I just think its a bad idea to meet them. You can say you wont mess their family up all you want, but in a way, you will.
My cousin did years worth of searching for a brother her mother had given away years before having her. She finally found him and went to meet him...out of curosity, like you.
He was so resentful, him being given away, her being kept. Her knowing her mother while she was alive and him never getting to meet her.
It didnt go well, as he was completely different than what she saw in her head. It will be the same for you...

I was the one given away, and I have no resentment. I've had a good life, and I love my parents. How would it be the same? Is she going to be resentful that I was given away?

The only reason I'd like to know who my biological parents are is so I could trace my geneology. Other than that, I don't really care. Frankly I don't see any benefit in making contact with someone who was nothing more than an incubator.

the best way is to route back thru the adoption agency. Once your 18 they have to by law give you information concerning your birth record and so on. From there you can check hospital records.

Other than that. Get atleast the city/state they live in and take out a advert.

The pooint I finally got around to was that they arent going to be the people you have in your head.

You should really take to Min's way of going about it. Look them up, but dont go disrupt their lives.

Wouldn't be a sweet bit of irony if Mark's dad was a big black dude and nailing Amy?

Mark, take this for what it's worth

If your Dad wanted to know you, or about you, he would have by now

he doesn't care, so don't waste your time

ps, there's no way you can meet your half sister without fucking up their lives

Plus you're kind of a wanker so that will probably strain the relationship.

The only good reason I can think of for you to find out about your Father would be a medical history. What you might be genetically predisposed to from his family.

Don't listen to them Mark. Maybe your dad is looking for you too. I mean, if I had an estranged son and I was short on some cash I'd try and build a relationship with him and pretend like I care then hit him up once and a while for some dough. As long as you create the illusion in your head you can be happy about it.

Did you guys read what he wrote...the guy doesn't know Mark exists.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

If he doesn't know Mark exists then it's best that it's kept that way. Why complicate this guy's life?

His family doesn't know I exist. He knows. My birth mother has his phone number and email. He was the one who told her that he has a family that has no clue about me. My birth mom won't give me the info cause she's worried about me fucking up his family.

I wouldn't simply go meet my half sister. I would email my birth father and go from there. I have no idea what to expect. Like I said, it's simply curiosity.
